I thought hard about writing this - I don't want to hurt this restaurant. But people should know what they could be getting into. This is a relatively expensive restaurant. I had a good experience here at lunch the other day, that is why it...got three stars. I had a very bad experience tonight. When I came in at 5pm the loud speakers were not playing but immediately after I ordered the most obnoxious music with a lot of screaming (rough, blues) started very, very loud. I asked them to turn it down and they did a little but it was still awful. It was not possible to get everything to go so I stayed but my nerves were shot. Also, the waiter refused to bring tap water in addition to my lemonade - liquid (not a bottle) in Europe is never enough for two courses and it is expensive. The fish was good quality but the sauce did not go well with it and I did not enjoy it, nor was the appetizer special. The waiter, when asked for recommendations, just happened to think the two most expensive things on the menu were best. He was not very nice, and I have eaten many times in Croatia so I can say he was far below average in niceness - his attitude was that he did not care. There was no reason for the loud, horrible music appropriate for a late night bar but not for a fine dining restaurant. I would never return. I hope they can use these suggestions to improve.More

The food was excellent and the service even better than that! The location is very convenient if you are around the Old Town area and the prices are reasonable.

We found this restaurant while wandering around the Old Town, and stopped in for a drink. The host was so friendly and the atmosphere interesting, so we made a dinner reservation for the next night. So glad we did! The food was quite tasty -...the fish dishes are excellent. Our server was very personable and kept things moving along. The wine list is very extensive, and the server's recommendations were spot on for our taste. Finally, the atmosphere is unique, open and airy with a modern feel. Highly recommend.More

Beautiful restaurant and lovely atmosphere. Our waiter appeared insulted that I said I couldn’t eat octopus and barely spoke to us again afterwards. Food was average enough and service was ok considering the price.

Our dinner at Bokeria was certainly a highlight of our trip. We were greeted warmly and immediately felt like we were going to have a wonderful time. The wait staff was timely but not intrusive and had great recommendation. What made a difference was they...asked what we tended to like so it gave them an idea on what to recommend. We were amazed by the Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio! If available try it! We ordered the homemade pasta and the seabass - absolutely delicious! Every aspect of the dinner from ambiance, food flavors, wine selection and service were absolutely wonderful. The owner, Luca made a point to swing by our table a few times to chat and see how we are doing as well as hear about our travels. Amazingly he had lived for a couple years less than a kilometer from where we live in California! Quite personable and made us feel like family. His team reflected the creativity, spirit and care for customers that he himself models. Without hesitation we recommend adding Bokeria to your must try dining places as you enjoy Split!More

Drink prices were a bit of a ripoff. That was probably the smallest G&T cocktail Ive ever had. Food was really good tho. Had burrata, octopus and lamb. All very delicious

We came here based on the recommendation of our hotel. Bokeria is a lively bar/restaurant and may be too loud on a busy night for those with hearing difficulties. The menu provides a nice selection of entrees. There were no "misses" from the choices our...table made. The experience was a bit undercut by the service. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed and scattered. I would return but I would not go out of my way to recommend the restaurant to a friend.More

Great looking place with a modern design. We went there for the breakfast. Food was fresh and interestingly presented. However, my scrambled eggs wasn’t the way I ordered - over too dry (should be very soft/semi fluid) with avocado dip that was also omitted in...my order. Hope it was only single accident. All other dishes were wonderful but probably routinely prepared.More

Hello, so sorry for the late response! When I was there in croatia I believe I asked the hotel the make the reservation, however, I am sure you can make the reservation yourself by calling the restaurant. Kind regards!
