Brilliant food and service - staff are very knowledgable on both wine list and food with good recommendations. Would highly recommend the “oil experience” to try different oils paired with bread and learn about the products - it was the same price as bread alone,...15KN per person. We wanted to try a soup as well as our appetisers and the waiter split one serving between two bowls so we could do this - very good service. Grilled octopus was beautiful, as were the ox cheeks and polenta, although that was rich. Would recommend the steak tartare… lovely! A must visit and perfect way to end our 10 days in Croatia!More

Such a wonderful little restaurant. Fantastic service, dishes and wine beautifully described by the staff. The steak was cooked to perfection and one of the best I’ve had, and the Hake was very fresh. Ambiance was lovely and we were made to feel more than...welcome. Hidden away down the many back streets but a must visit!More

Lovely quiet spot. Nice short menu. Pumpkin soup was delicious, thankfully not too thick, decorated to good effect with toasted pumpkin seeds. Beef cheeks were slow braised till tender, in an interesting if slightly sweet sauce. Served with polenta which I’d assumed would be wet...but was in fact cubed and fried. Nice local read wine which was carefully explained by the waiter. And of course the olive oil was superb - Croatian olive oil is a revelation, up there with those posh and expensive Tuscans from Italy but so much cheaper!More

I have been coming here, 2020 excepting, for a few years now. Never disappointed and those with me, to whom I recommend this Use Oil Bar, are never disappointed. I was there again on Friday - and just have to repeat how good an evening...ti was. Domagoj, our waiter, was just formidable!!! Thanks for splitting that bill between five so patiently.More

Great place at a reasonable price. Wine was great and food was also great. Only thing to be aware of is if you order bread for the table they charge by person. So when it says 15kn that is 15 kn per person.

My wife and I visited Split in October and needed somewhere to shelter from the rain. We came across Uje Oil Bar and decided to grab a glass of wine while we decided what to do for the rest of the day. We arrived around...4pm. We ended up spending a fantastic 5 hours in there. We didn't want to leave. Our waiter made us feel at home and looked after us the entire time. We tried several of the fantastic red wines, a meat and cheese board, the pumpkin soup and the hake stew. All delicious. I wish we had caught our waiter's name as he was brilliant. He showed us an amazing time. Thank you so much.More

The food was from a good quality and we loved the idea that they buy from local farmers. We ordered Sea Hake Filet with chicken peas, which was delecious (160 HRK), a seasonal salad and Risotto with seasonal mushroom und prosciutto together with white wine...and cranberry ice tea. I guess the term "prosciutto" was lost in translation from Croatian to English as there were less than 5g of dried ham flakes instead of normal sized prosciutto pieces. The sizes of the dishes were between small and normal. But besides that we had a good meal and can recommend the quality. We paid about 350 HKR for everything.More

Atmosphere is chill and cool, as well the staff is really friendly and polite. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is priorityy. Food is really good, only the prices are pretty high.

Spent a leisurely couple of hours here doing the olive oil tasting followed by lunch. Such a cute little place. Got to taste 3 different oils along with bread, cheese, fig jam and balsamic. Stayed on for lunch. The cuttlefish with broad beans and the...hake stew with chickpeas were both delicious. They sell the oils, vinegars, wines, olives and various other items onsite.More

Thank you Marco! Lovely experience, highly recommend over the busier bars. We attempted to get a table at Zinfandel due to the amazing reviews but the lady on the door was incredibly unhelpful and it put us off going there. Thankfully we came across this...gem of a wine bar! We came here two nights for wine and the olive oil tasting. We were not disappointed. The wine bar is beautiful, candlelit and quiet, away from the crowds of Old Town. Marco was attentive and recommended wine which was delicious. He also recommended a maraschino liquor and traditional Croatian Rakia - both were delicious. We loved the olive oil experience, it was delicious with the wine, Marco explained the history and where the salt, oil and vinegar comes from and how it is made. We then had the same experience as above 3 days later. Highly recommend trying out the wine bar (I can't comment on the restaurant part as we did not go there).More
