Went here our first day in Split as it was not far from our apartment and always looked popular. We had good starters, salad and cured meat. Followed by grilled squid and tuna steakm both cooked to perfection, accompanied by blitva (Croatian dish of chard,...potatoes and garlic), fries and roasted veg. The service was friendly and efficient.More

Have just read the last review as I write this and I echo the sentiments exactly sadly. We went for lunch and sat in the pretty courtyard. A young lady was seated at the entrance who half heartedly greeted us whilst looking at her phone....If her role is to encourage people, it didnt work as she looked bored. My husband had the risotto which was very good and I had the shrimp soup. You have to order bread separately and I got a huge portion. We were put off ordering anything more adventurous as the prices seemed high for a small unassuming cafe off the main track. We wanted to order coffee so asked the girl who pointed us down the street to ask ourselves! No one else was having lunch there, so perhaps they were not motivated to please. The waiter was friendly though.More

My husband and I visited this restaurant last week. The menu was sparse but we found something that appealed. I had grilled chicken and chips with a green pepper sauce and my husband had meat with chips and sauce. We had one wine each and...the bill came to over £70. When I asked them to explain the various items on the bill they were unable to have a conversation in English so I had to give up. The kitchen for the restaurant is also on the way down the hill where you can openly see the ladies cooking with cigarettes in their mouths. The food was average. Would never go back ! Totally robbed abs hygiene questionable.More

After walking up to the viewpoint we passed in our descend this nice place and got attracted to its authenticity. A wide range of varieties to eat at honest prices. Very gentle waiters and a nice place to sit and look around

This is a real hidden gem in Split in Varos. I ate dalmatian gregada, it's a domestic way of preparing fish in Dalmatia and it was awesome. People who work there are also very friendly and nice. I would strongly recommend!

Dropped into a practically empty Konoba to grab some dinner. Were directed to a small table, and was refused a larger table even though 2 other larger tables were also occupied by couples. When pressed, the waiter asked ME why I didn’t want the small...table and proceeded to walk away. Needless to say we did not stay and enjoyed a wonderful meal elsewhere. Unfortunately this type of service in Split is becoming more common. Better wake up before the tourists find a more welcoming place to visit.More

We stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant whilst walking through the Riga area after the tour of city center. My wife doesn't eat lamb as it has always had a weird taste to her. She too hot shots by her self, that’s how good it was....We ordered the city sampler just came with an assortment of mussels, tuna steaks, prawns and two fish. Everything was finished within 40 minutes. Well this is not one of the top rated restaurants on TripAdvisor, we are surely glad that we found this placeMore

It's really the worst restaurant I've ever been. Very bad service, waiters are rude and indifferent. Were waiting for our main course for 2 hours (I'm not exaggerating). At last it was ribai steak. Was ordered like medium rare but in fact it was more...than well done. And moreover it wasn't ribai at all. Strictly not recommended.More

Awful service, staff is absolutely unprofessional. They don't give a damn to clients. Food is served extremely slowly. The food is more or less appropriate, except for ribeye (instead of medium rare a well-well done). The only reason to visit if you live next door.
