Simple, well prepared, flavorful food. Handwritten menu so you know the food is fresh. I ordered this baked eggplant about five times because it was so perfect. Staff are friendly. This place is small and a little tucked away on a side street—come here for...an authentic and special meal!More

Snuck away in a Roman labyrinth of side streets is this gem! Beautiful aroma of fresh garlic and you feel the vibe of the restaurant as soon as you approach it. Staff are very lovely as is the food. Portions not that big but the...ambience in its simplicity is lovely. It’s not cheap and if price isn’t your concern then visit this place for that experience. If only for that experience...More

We had dinner here twice within one week. Due to covid it was not full both times. We were in the "annex" which has a romantic and comfy ambience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the same pasta both times - that...says it all I guess. It was sooo yummy, with pork mince and truffles and the portions were huge. The first time there we had a cheese platter to start off with. Big mistake;-) Although it was good and the cheese was tasty, we couldn't finish the pasta. Very fair prices.More

We've heard from various people to visit Villa Spiza and we finally did on our last day! The waiter gave us a great recommendation of getting the fresh grilled sea bass and the frutti di mare pasta which was the most amazing last meal in...Split! Everything was flavorful and the presentation was great. If we had known about this place sooner, we would have definitely gone back twice. I highly recommend this restaurant during your stay in Croatia.More

The restaurant is down a small side street with a few tables outside. I ate in there twice and sat inside at the counter. There are counter seats made for one so you feel completely comfortable as a solo traveller. The house wine was recommended...and it is delicious. I had mussels the first night and they were sooo garlicky but the best I have ever had. Then the second night I had truffle pasta - you should know I don't like truffle but as it's a speciality in the region I thought I would try and now I will never go back. The food is cheap for Split and cooked straight in front of you. Recommend this place to everyone.More

DIVINE! The best anchovies and most delicious pasta we have ever had out. Portions are really generous and flavours are amazing. Price is also ridiculously reasonable for the quality and quantities you get. Lovely setting too
