Quiet Saturday Evening, fairly limited menu, service was good and food was good, but not a knock your socks off and comparatively prices were higher than other places we have tried

Reserved a table a long time ago and it didn’t disappoint! The food was awesome. I love how the chef mixed different flavors in the food where you get surprised with every bite. I had tuna tataki, which was acidic, spicy, umami, with a little...hint of bitterness. A perfect dish in my opinion. The main course, squid with gnocchi, was also great. However I did not like the texture of gnocchi as it was more mushy than chewy, which is a personal preference. The service was awesome. The waiter took the time to explain us how the food was prepared, which was a nice touch. What I found a bit annoying was the disco-type of music, as I had been to the club the night before and danced to the same music. I think a more classy taste could be adopted in the music, which would be complimenting the restaurant more.More
Service was excellent. Outstanding octopus salad to start followed by the seafood sharing dish including lobster. Along with delicious rose wine the whole meal was excellent.
A delightful visit for a glass or two. Do not hesitate to enjoy the fine hospitality of Fantazija. The staff gives excellent recommendations on Croatian wine.
Fantazija surpassed the very high hype. The mussels were the best mussels I’ve had throughout Split, Dubrovnik and Hvar. My wife greatly enjoyed cabbage appetizer. For main dishes, the lamb pasta was delicious. The sauce 🔥. My wife also loved her steak. Service wise, Anthony...went the extra mile and made perfect recommendations. The Rajika was a fun way to end the night. 5/5, definitely a must visit.More
We ate here last year and I had the best tuna ever. Decided to go again this year. It didn’t disappoint - very buzzy environment, great playlist, informative staff who appear to be enjoying their profession.
Our food was amazing along with impeccable service. Our best restaurant experience in Split Croatia.
Fantastic Vibe! Vintage 70s music and fantastic food! All the good Croatian wines I knew nothing about. You gotta come.
This top rated dining spot did not disappoint! The food was interesting and delicious, our server, Vedran, was superb, and the intimate, 32 seat restaurant, was hip!
Absolutely delicious food (get the beef tartare— best singular dish we’ve had thus far in our eurotrip) and great beer. Service was wonderful as well; our server was prompt and kind. Vibes inside are fun and cool. Great experience!!
A very nice experience, we had the beef tartar as a starter and it was the best tartar we ever had and we’re used to a lot. Then we had the sirloin steak and the tuna steak also very good and tastefull. Our waiter was...outstanding and very helpfull! We recommend it 100%!More
It takes guts to open up a small-ish bar, put up a sign on the wall that says "You're f*cking free" and then charge 45 euros for a main dish. But Fantažija pulls it off comfortably. Some of its dishes (the arambaši for example) may...be a bit of an acquired taste, while others (like the beef tartare) are simply incredible. All of them are memorable. But Fantažija's biggest asset is its lack of pretence - it doesn't indulge in any Michelinesque chiquery, and keeps its vibe low-profile and relaxed. It makes the experience all the better for it.More
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The best Mediterranean food I’ve had ever. Staff was fantastic friendly fun. Made me feel very comfortable. Go for the five course option. But be very hungry. It’s a lot of really good food. Take the wine...selections as well. Excellent staff. Very easy to get a table. Seems to be just beyond site of the cruise ships. So not very crowded at n a Saturday night 19:00. I have no problem getting a table. Loved it.More
Good food, nice buzz, view on the buzy open kitchen. Nice! Make sure to check out the neonlight recommendations when you go. The playlist is pure eighties.
A genuine surprise amongst the tourist traps! This restaurant looks relatively unassuming- a couple of neon signs might make you think it’s another tourist-driven copy, but genuinely- the small menu and extensive wine list are a real treat. If you can get yourself a table,...make sure this is on your itinerary for split.More
