Cuisine and fish are absolutely amazing, and so is the place: you can tell both food and style have a particular and unique personality. It’s a bit pricey, especially regarding simple dishes or services (water is 6€ a bottle!), but main dishes are absolutely delicious and super recommended :)

What a wonderful, amazing experience. Recommend by some gay friends of ours, this (from the outside) unassuming restaurant was a revelation. Stunning, innovative, yummy food coupled with great service (thank you, Dom!) made for a very special evening. It's rare for waiters to spend time with you to make recommendations, and to allow you to sample new tastes, and Dom did just that. Shout-out to the red-haired lady head chef and her team!!! Wishing all of you great success! Stephan & Justin

Absolutely lovely tasting menu with excellent food and perfectly coordinated wines. Our waiter was informative, friendly and knowledgeable, especially when it came to the food and how it paired with the wine. The food feels like a beautiful modern twist on Adriatic and Dalmatian cuisine. They refined classics or used local produce to make unique but fresh and delicious original dishes. A little pricey but definitely worth every penny if you’re looking for something a bit different, absolutely delicious yet always with a link to local foods, traditions and styles. If you can’t do the tasting menu then make sure you try the squid, the beef tartare or the lamb. A perfect evening out in split with lovely service and great alcohol pairings.

Walked in at the last minute and managed to reserve a table. Very friendly service, nice restaurant, with nice music and a limited menu. Very friendly waiter with a lot of humor. Sharing a dish is no problem. As a starter, tuna tataki (nicely seared) and fresh pasta with red mullet stew. Those chefs can make perfect fresh pasta, very tasty. The waiter adds the right combination of accompanying wine. We share the main course, a beautiful steak with pasticada sauce, a delicious combination accompanied by another fantastic red wine on the advice of the waiter. Although we have actually finished eating, the waiter manages to tempt us for dessert with a great dessert wine. What great people, a fantastic experience and great service, definitely worth repeating.

Excellent food and Service. Our waiter was very attentive and gave great insights into what food/wine we chose and what paired well together. I would definitely recommend the truffle beef tartare - best food we have had in Croatia! The Scampi pasta had delicious flavours, but be prepared to get your hands dirty!

This unique restaurant creates traditional Croatian dishes with a modern twist. Absolutely mouthwatering food. The vibe is funky, cozy, and very welcoming! We loved every dish that came out and our server “Dom” was amazing in helping us make our selections. This amazing restaurant will be one my family and I visit again and again when we come back to Split every year.

Simply amazing! Quiet spot which was a perfect mix of authentic elevated flavors with a modern touch. The 2 women crafting each bite in the tiny open kitchen was unexpected. The local gin spun into a delicious gin and tonic was simple but the unique. Wines Korcula were recommended by our sweet knowledgeable server, Dom. Dom made the night with his pride for the region of culinary delights. Recommendation did not miss. Honestly, wish we could have sampled every dish as I’m sure they were all wonderful. Highly recommend starting with the homemade focaccia, olives, and tomato rosemary salad. We shared the lamb pasta (melt in your mouth) and tuna tatike (sweet onions and capers). Divine! Ended with the almond ice cream with cured egg yolk. The fun began with Dom offering 4 tastes of various after dinner drinks. Very special. Toasted my dad (Serbian).

Stop the search. This is THE place to eat in Split. Ante was our server and he could not have been more friendly and helpful in recommending the best options on the menu. We devoured the focaccia bread, and Tuna Tataki as our first course. The Tuna Steak was a first bite experience every single bite, but the potato on the side was actually the star of the show. You also can not go wrong with the squid gnocchi. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal at Fantazija.

What a gem full of taste and great hosting! Everything from start to last drop was delicious and thoughtfully crafted and designed! The waiter and the ambiance made the evening to an absolute highlight with great music choices and a nice breeze to relax fully and enjoy! We started with the Dalmatian Sushi Platter for 2 (256kn~34€), beautifully presented and tasted exquisite, great flavor combinations of smoked swordfish and octopus carpaccio with tuna mousse and fish tartare with a beautiful dressing of capers and spring onions and glacé. As main we both had the dry-aged striploin steak (~350gr) with Dalmatian chimichurri sauce and beet root gnocchi and walnut and goat cheese (286kn ~38€), amazing combo and great taste, grilled to perfection as I like it “blue” (raw) and the steak was raw, couldn’t have wished it better. For dessert we had Rozata a traditional Dalmatian flan with almond and wild bitter orange (60kn ~ 8€) - super! We ended with 2 cocktails that the waiter recommended and that they make themselves herr at the restaurant super aromatic and full of flavor! Their signature pelinkovac 98kn ~13€. On the house we received 2 rakia’s delicious and good for digestion haha ! Top restaurant and a must go to!

Amazing food . The best restaurant we went to in Split. In fact we went twice ! We had beef tartare to share to start which was stunning , followed by sardines and tuna steak and goat cheese ice cream which was lovely . On the second time we had the beef stew and prawn gnocchi both delicious followed by almond ice cream . The Service was just as good , polite , attentive. Hats off to the lovely lady chefs behind the kitchen counter . A really good find 😊

Vibrant atmosphere and amazing staff. Waiter Ante made sure we had everything we need and made some incredible suggestions for the food and drinks. Bluefin tuna and cherry&truffle rakija was a hit on the menu. Must visit!

As it says of itself, this is Croatian classics with some twists. It was delicious- was only going to have main course, but saw people with starters and had to have some. The mussels were delicious with sauce that had to have the rosemary focaccia bread dunked into to make sure none was wasted. Partner had the tuna which was perfectly seared and presented with lovely additions that all complemented the main tuna. Mains we had were both from the grill. Again perfect cooking and rested to ensure taste and tender. The vegetables were also delicious with sauces bring it all together perfectly. This, plus great local wines from knowledgeable and very friendly staff. We had no room for dessert but totally recommend either of the local dessert wines instead. Decor is funky with some great neon signs; atmosphere was lively but not loud with 80’s and 70’’s music of all styles in the background - complete mix of people from families, to couples of every age group enjoying it all. Booking is essential. Best in Split - loved it all.

We are not able to provide 5/5 due to mild grievancies. We did not get our wines and tuna stakes were too salty. Those deficiencies may not regard as large per se. However, when taking prices into consideration, five star is not fair.

Well worth a visit, went for dinner, it didn’t disappoint having chosen to go here from reviews. Rated as a bit pricey, it is in my opinion, good value for the money. We shared a starter steak tartare which was delicious ( poss the best I’ve ever tried ) we opted for the sharing lobster pasta dish which was delicious and plentiful The service is excellent Dinner for 2 included a bottle of house wine was £119.00 worth every penny!

Our group visited this establishment at the end of a sailing trip. The menu was small (good sign) but the food didn’t live up to expectations. Steaks were good but not sure a large bunch of black grapes qualifies for a side dish. The rest of the group had the special which was seafood served with pasta in a tomato based sauce. The description included lobster but the dish only contained a couple of relatively small crayfish with prawns, mussels and clams. The sauce was ok but lacked the depth of flavour one would find in an Italian establishment. Finally, we asked the waiter to advise on the wine given it was relatively expensive. When enquiring about one of the moderately priced options, he mentioned it wasn’t a good one. Foolishly we decided it couldn’t be that bad (having enjoyed some excellent local wines during the week) and ordered a bottle. He was right - it was awful! To his credit, he agreed to remove it from the bill and we then ordered a number of more expensive bottle. In summary, it was a pleasant evening but didn’t live up to it’s TA top billing.
