Despite having a rough gravel beach that isn't on par with Bačvice, Mistral at Radisson Blu offers a really cool beach vibe with its sundecks, giant straw umbrellas, and twisting wooden pathways. It is also so large that it never feels crowded. Because of that,...we often come here and gladly pay 90 kn per person for loungers, even though we could simply put down a towel a few meters away for free, or anywhere on the enormous Žnjan beach.
On the other hand, the beach bar could do a lot better, considering that it's A) quite expensive, and B) part of a luxurious hotel chain. For example, the pizza that we specifically requested without cheese came with cheese, and the water's excuse was that he conveyed the order to the kitchen, but they made it incorrectly. If that was the case, he should have warned them to make a new one instead of handing it to the customer as if there was nothing wrong. No compensation or discount was offered for this oversight, which is really unbecoming of a Radisson establishment.
We will keep visiting because we just enjoy this place's vibe, but a few quality improvements might be in order.More
The beach club is absolutely beautiful - however the service is pretty shocking. Arrived having booked a VIP day bed, no towels available (despite having already paid for them). Drinks service also very poor, politely asked on several occasions to order drinks from various waiters,...they never arrived. We waited over an hour for drinks service. For the same price (in fact cheaper) you can spend the day at Gooschter Beach Club, where the service is fantastic, and if I’m honest, the view/beach is much more beautiful. We saved this experience for our last day in split, so really disappointing.More
We came to have a drink and order some food and we stood at our table for about an hour, nobody even talked to us let alone serviced us, it was around half an hour they weren’t that busy, they had more waiters that mostly...stood idle than there were guests... avoid this place, thare are better restaurants around.More
Was recommended to me for lunch.
As Radisson guest went on the beach where the waiter told me for more selection to go ”upstairs” to the 2nd part of Mistral.
1. Spring Rolls
Bad. Cold inside. Not fried well. Flat.
2. Tuna salad
Wow....Zero contemplation on the dish itself. Lettuce, beans, paprika, and tuna just threw inside the bowl. I’d expect that from a road bar, not the only lunch place at the hotel. The only upside: tuna was fresh.
Ambiance: as you can see - ridiculous to place tables there, where the kitchen and all dirty talks happen.
Bill: 175kn (23€)More
Came to the mistral beach bar a few times whilst staying in the Radisson. So relaxing sat overlooking the sea. The strawberry daiquiri is one of the best daiquiris I’ve ever had. Food was also good. Slightly expensive but worth it for views over the...ocean.More
