We had a really nice meal at Apetit - the ambiance was really nice, the service was good, and the food was very good - excellent homemade gnocchi and fresh seafood.

If you wish to escape from the mediocre fare offered around the old city, pop into Apetit and add a touch of class to the sightseeing day. The restaurant is located in a tastefully restored upper floor of an old Venetian palace a short distance from the Pjaca (Narodni Trg). The menu is fairly short (a promising feature) with a... More

My wife and I stumbled on this restaurant during our 1 day visit of Split. It is located in the heart of the old Split, we were not too hungry so we had a shrimp soup, prosutto and trouffle pasta and grilled swordfish salad. Everything was very tasteful, especially pasta which was excellent. Would definetely return.

We have reserved our table which is always good thing to do, especially in December or during summer. It is located in the passage in the street in the middle of Diocletian palace. Interior is very nicely decorated with several rooms. I have ordered shrimp soup for starter which was very good. For main course I have selected lamb pasticada... More

We were not lucky to get there out of big group so we waiten very long for the food. But this is not the biggest problem. Food was a bit less than aveage and stuff wasn't polite when we asked for some spices. Not recommended.

A bit hard to find, but worth the search! The handmade pasta were excellent, the staff very friendly and the restaurant, in a restored old palace had a modern decoration that integrated nicely architectural details.

Was recommended by our guide who is Croate and lives in Split. It is on 2nd floor but you have to go almost through the stairs of a Grocery store but keep on, it is worthwhile the service. The food, service everything was excellent I had tagliatelle with shrimp and a truffle sauce that was just right seasoned . Good... More

Good food ( especially the lamb) and wine. Very popular so book ahead. Our only slight complaint was that service was a little over familiar at times. However we visited twice so that says it all

Based on a recommendation at our hotel, we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and left very satisfied. The appetizer plate for two (shrimp pate, bruschetta, octopus salad) was delicious. I didn't like the octopus salad as much as other places in Split but the other 2 items were a hit. The monkfish with gnocchi and truffle sauce was... More
