Best restaurant during our 2 weeks stay in Dalmatia. Different to 95% of the other restaurant's offers (different league), you can taste and see that the very friendly manager lives and loves food, excellent service, very well priced. Central location, reservation recommended due to small space (or generous space for 3 cooks, highly appreciated!) and less tables during Corona Virus times. Taste the Tatar as a starter, love the sashimi style approach.

We have eaten here over ten times and were never disappointed. Quality-price ratio is spot on, service professional and unobtrusive, food is seasonal and local. This place is aiming higher with their menu than most restaurants in the city while keeping things affordable and tasty. I’d recommend Articok to anyone in the area, it’s worth getting here. Do make a reservation if coming in the evening hours.

Someone at the tourist information office had recommended this place for lunch so we decided to try. They had a daily menu with about four options for the first plate, for the main course and for dessert, to choose from. They also offer other items a la cart and home made pasta. The place has an open kitchen set up so you can see and smell the food they are cooking. They may take a while in bringing your food and the reason is that they are making it from scratch. At the end you won’t be disappointed. We had peas soup and salad for appetizers and beans stew and monkfish stew for main dishes and a delicious cannoli filled with lemon cream. The place is modern and cozy and service was very good.

We do not understand the excellent notation of this restaurant since it is the only bad experience we had during our trip. Avoid ordering the lamb salad as an appetizer (not sure the meat cubes were even lamb) and the spaghette (pasta with mussels which tasted expired) and the monkfish risotto (too salty which made it impossible to eat). Moreover, waiters made us feel uncomfortable when sitting at the bar for a cocktail before dinner (server kept putting the empty dishes in front of us, ultimately asking us to move to the other side of the bar before again using the space in front of us to drop empty bottles). A bad atmosphere also reigned between waiters themselves, they were unsmiling and looked very sad of being here. The check was of 70€ which is really expensive considering the above. In conclusion, don’t waste your time there.

Had a great experience at Articok- good food, friendly service, and beautiful atmosphere with a rooftop dining experience. For the same price, you could go to any restaurant in the old town or near the marina, that are really more of a tourist trap with mediocre food and service. Why not choose to have a far superior dining experience at Articok? Definitely make a reservation in advance because the restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike.

Dined on the rooftop on a Wednesday evening. Had stopped by when they opened earlier in the day and booked, which is a must as this place is very popular. Rooftop is very atmospheric with laid back music and string lighting. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Our waitress even suggested we may have ordered too much…she was correct and saved us the equivalent of £15. We shared the rabbit gnocchi as a starter. It was absolutely delicious and more than enough for 2. The amberjack and octopus mains were also extremely delicious. Highly recommend.

It was a random find for us as we were walking around the city centre so were were extremely pleased to discover this little gem. Ordered starter, mains, gin and tonics and wine and everything was flawless. Great food was only trumped by even better service as the waiter went out of his way to make sure we were happy and to leave with recommendations of our next stops. It is quite unusual for Split to get this level of service, so I would highly recommend visiting as the menu is fresh and focused on what is available which guarantees satisfaction.

This is high quality food which would not be out of place in any major world city. A far cry from the pizza/pasta/risotto/grilled fish and meat which is Croatia otherwise in most places. Beautifully presented gin and tonics, friendly, helpful staff. Food to delight the eye as well as the palate. We loved the seafood eclair and the light as air pavlova. The only problem was that we could not find similar food elsewhere on our two week trip and it was excellent value. I booked 3 weeks in advance on their website and was very pleased we had done so as it was a rainy evening and many people were turned away.

A lot of other restaurants in Split are trying too hard- attempting to be cool, chic and sell themselves as fine dining; they aren't. However, this place is a small and delightful gem. It doesn't try too hard to look 'cool' it just is a great quality restaurant with excellent dishes and great wine. The service is courteous and thoughtful and you feel incredibly well looked after without it being intrusive. The dishes are well balanced and of a high standard. All of these things work together to allow you to have a really lovely dining experience that rivals many much more costly, establishments. I completely recommend a visit to this great place.

Articok was recommended to us by Uje Oil bar who consideres Articok to be a great competitor. We booked a table, you need to book as they only have 12 tables with about 20 seats. Small but interesting menu, great service with very serviceminded staff, the hostess an institution in elegant attire and an ironic smile on her face😊👍 Food was great, we went two times within a week and tried both roastbeef, Seabass Carpaccio, trio of patees, pulled lamb, hare and pork ling with truffled mash. Everything cooked to perfection. The apple cake we had for dessert was also great...just look at the pic. A place well worth visiting!!!We enjoyed it alot and we will go back👍😊

Articok is one of the best restaurants in split. We are both very competent cooks and visited on recommendation of a local worker. We loved everything the food is better than some of the Michelin started restaurants that are local. It is very reasonable on price for an excellent meal you will not be disappointed

Very poor services. We waited around half hour for someone to take our order and eventually we had to ask one of the waiters if we can order. When the food came I found hair in my plate and my wife had little pieces of a broken seashell in the pasta.

We tried to get a resy by phone but no luck. When my friends went to sit down for dinner at a place near by I ran over and was thrilled to get the last big table for the next night, our last group dinner in Croatia. We truly scored. Warmly greeted by the staff that helped me out making the resy was how the rest of the night flowed. Staff was friendly and funny, and knew their food & wine. I totally respect the host/waiter who eloquently told my friend she would be fired if she put in a fish order well done and she could not do that!! Veggie salad and truffle pasta for appetizers disappeared as did a bottle of the house wine that is not boxed but a beautifully labelled locally sourced white. Sadly we all wanted the same dishes, tuna and black risotto with pea puree. The owner is into art and the food was a masterpiece. The weakest link was the bread and olive oil which missed the mark. As that was first, we ended on high notes as the main courses were bites of sunshine - or sunset, as Split has most amazing sunsets.

Very slow service (50 minutes for the main dish), poor quality of the dishes (hard Black Angus and boiled pólipo not grilled), they did not bring the proper knife for the meat. Bad value for money. Well located restaurant and good structure to review the management and the quality of the food

Chill atmosphere in central split area, the rooftop is nice and the waiter was really professional and advice. However the truffles pasta was horrible and full of water with no taste and the truffles seems to be over dated. The plate of octopus was good and the desert as well. Overrated and you can find better restaurant for cheaper price.
