Fife is the Best place for “marenda” - daily prepared lunch dishes. Definitely try pašticada with gnochi.

Great place for easy eating. Just turn up and share a table - they are mostly bench style with 4 or six of you sharing. Food is traditional, well cooked and plentiful. Staff are friendly and helpful and seem to speak every language under the...sun. There are no great views as it's situated just at he end of the town but only a short walk and well worth a visit.More

This is not a place for enjoing delicious food, but just for easing your hunger. There is a wide selection of different dishes, the pricing is reasonable and you will not leave hungry.

This restaurant should definetly be in the top 10 in Split!! It doesn’t deserve it’s ranking :( The host is super nice and caters to your needs, the food is crazy good. We had meat supe, escalop with mushroom sauce & mashed potatoes and the...house speciality. Loved them each. The prices are in the low zone but the portions are crazy big. Excellent place, food & hosts! We just walked in by chance to eat here, but definetly will be coming back! 😍More

So many times we dined here after making the trip to Split from our base in Kastela.Whatever we had was very tasty. The Dalmatian Pasticada here was the best we have had anywhere, and there was so much of it.The mixed small fish was superb,it came away...from the bones so easily.Stuffed Peppers and Chicken Escalopes with Mushrooms in Sauce, served with creamy mashed potatoes, was also so tasty.Portions were so big,but food so good it would be a crime to waste it.All served with very good local wine and beer.Great service from waiters Zeljiko and Goga,at a good price.Customers were a good blend of Split people and tourists, making for a good, lively atmosphere. So worth the longer walk past the far inferior food sold on the restaurants on the Riva!More

I think it's midnight. great value good food, but very busy, so going later might be better anyway as queue might be shorter.
