Always busy. A good locals popular eating place. Shared tables & nothing fancy but if you are hungry & want a cheap meal thjis is the place for you. We ordered sea bass & when it arrived we had 4 fish between us ! good honest Dalmation style food. Service was quick considering how busy it gets. We have walked... More

A friend and I had lunch here based on the recommendation of a local. The place is unpretentious with mostly locals eating there. My friend and I shared several octopus, squid and shrimp dishes that were as tasty as we had at more expensive restaurants.

Great little neighborhood restaurant right at the end of the promenade. Cozy outside seating- often family style on benches. We ordered the pan fried squid (calamari) that unexpectedly cam with fries, and their goulash (made with big chunks of veal) that arrived with yummy mashed potatoes. These two dishes, plus a liter of wine, bread and butter (ordered a la... More

The restaurant was packed with tourists and locals. The food was good Croatian. We had calamari and a serving bowl of goulash, which was served with a plate of mashed potatoes. Filling and delicious.

The place was crowded so the service was slow. Ordering was rushed as well. The food was average but cheaply priced. You have to share tables as well. We had the lamb and peas. It was ok. Cucumber salad was just sliced cucumber. The gnocchi was heavy and cold.

We joined the long queue which moved quickly, we were seated at the same time with 2 other couples on the same bench. Which is good, you end up nattering and making acquaintances. The food portions are very big and prices very cheap and all tasty

Fife is busy for a reason. The food portions are large and prices cheap. Service is maniac as the wait staff try and deal with the demand. The food is however good quality. The beef goulash was especially good.

Been to fife about 4 times now over my time in Split. Always packed and food remains great as it was when we first visited years ago. Great servie, this year accomodating a large last minute reservation for a family birthday. Fab and huge portions at great prices

My husband particularly enjoyed the goulash and mashed potatoes. I liked my meal (can't remember the name). His Tomislav beer was great but my house wine was not. Very buy restaurant. Would go again. Waiters were very helpful with beer and food selections.

i don't mind simpler, mid-range restaurants, but fife is not worth it. we tried the fish "soup" and it was just a bowl of broth. the food was fried, which is fine, but this food was greasy and did not taste fresh. this was the worst wine we had during our time in split and this was with us getting...
