Nice Armenian dishes and beautiful views. It’s like a mini Armenian colony in Odesa this place. My waiter was the best of the best. Spoke English Very nice Armenian cognac also here

We visited this cozy cabin style restaurant in November and found it to be so homey and beautiful. The simple Christmas decor added to the extremely welcoming and hygge atmosphere! We only had drinks and dessert- but would recommend the Armenian tea, Apple Strudel and...the divine Ideal cake to anyone looking to warm up in a lovely place with great atmosphere, music, and food!More
We stopped by Ararat for dessert and tea. The cake and the apple strudel were both delicious. People were very nice.
Restaurant with good view and this the biggest advantage of this place. Food I rate for 6 or 7 from 10.
I’m going to start this review by saying that we saw other reviews talking about lack of service and attitude here. My family of five and I decided to go anyway due to our love of Armenian food. When we arrived, the tables were empty,...and given that we had a reservation we were led to a table in a corner. We had asked if we could take one of the other tables that were around, but were immediately rejected and placed into a small table that barely sat 4. We waited about five or 10 minutes to be given menus, and were given two menus for five people. When we asked if we could see a few more so everyone could read a menu, they told us “if we have more we’ll give it to you”. I want to add, that my whole family speaks Russian, and this had nothing to do with us being Americans. Horrible service, and we walked out right away. Stay awayMore
Sorry that you are faced with this situation and similar attitude. We will conduct an educational conversation with the staff
I went twice to this restaurant, once with my in-laws and once myself. The first time we sat inside coz it was quite cold, there is not much sitting inside. Second time I sat outside as it was warm and sunny. I have to say...that the first time was much better, probably coz my in-laws are Ukrainian. The food was good the first time, I really like it and I tryed 4 different dishes (fish, zuluguni, chicken and some Georgian dish) but second time I ordered veal and mushrooms and all was quite salty. Not the same experience. They have menu in english but the service is not so good, I had to look for someone to ask for a table and then wait quite long to get the menu. Probably would come back if there is nothing else to try and choose whatever I know is good.More
This used to be a very nice restaurant in Odessa, making delicious Shashlik. :) It was a bit more expensive than other restaurants, however the high class quality and setting was worth it. However, yesterday, I was eating a nice evening meal with my son...there, and all of a sudden someone starts smoking a Hooka (Shisha) next to our table. It ruined our meal completely. The nice outdoor fresh air was gone. We could hardly taste our food, being attacked by the Hooka smoke. It is sad, that this was a very good place to relax and eat, very classy place, and now it is operated as a low class hooka bar. Definatly not a place to visit anylonger. Especially with family. There are many options, hooka free in Odessa. No idea why Ararat changed its standing. Good bye Ararat !!!!More
Very good quality of the food very tasteful, we were there in 3 person group, the waiter recommended us 3 kinds of meat and baked potatos for 3 people. As he recommended we ordered, and it was too little for us 6 halves of potatoes...for 3 people is not enough, but the taste was outrageous. highly recommend taking 1,5 of the portion. Not Expensive and with the nice view.More
The food is excellent, nice wines. The restaurant have outside seats and inside. If you choose outside, you'll have great view of the Sea. Location of the restaurant is on Hill, in Arcadia. They have their parking , also you can take a tour to...Armenian Cultural center and visit Armenian Church ,These all are in one area.More
I can only recommend this place, great view over the black sea, good service, fantastic Armenia food and good wine and all to a fair price. Dont miss this place
I really enjoyed the service from this establishment. Not only did the staff speak English but they also had English menu. My waiter was very polite and efficient. He was quite happy to explain meals and also give his suggestions. The meals were bought to...me in a timely manner, the meat was cooked to perfection and all looked and tasted fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the dishes were very well portioned. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Acadia area in Odessa.More
The view from the restaurant is really nice, if you dont mind the numerous night clubs near the beach underneath the restaurant. But the view on the sea is phenomenal. The food quality is not as good as I expected it from the prices. Don't...get me wrong: For european standards the prices are extremely cheap, but compared to other restaurants in Odessa near/at the beach this restaurant couldn't keep up with the quality and the price/value. We had the meat plate as opener (disappointing with only 2 different types of meat but somewhat tasty). Then main courses were chicken (my fiancée) and turkey steak (me). While the turkey was acceptable in terms of quality and taste, the chicken was left nearly untouched. The best thing about the restaurant was the "Kompott", which is tasty and refreshing in the summer and a typical Ukrainian drink. Wouldn't go there again, nor recommend my friends to do so. There are so many other good restaurants around.More
Ended up here 2 of our nights in Odessa. The restaurant unfortunately does not have an english menu, but we ordered a mixed grill for the whole table and got some amazing meat, everything from lamb, chicken, pork, potatoes, mushrooms, tortilla, salsas etc. which was...very tasty and perfectly made! For dessert some of us had panna cotta and some had napoleon cake, both of which was good, but could not compare to the meat. We had a very lovely waitress who knew some english and went beyond everything to make us feel welcome and gave us the most amazing service. We all want to thank her again for being our waitress!More
We love the meat they served. One of my favourite lyulya kebab in the city. Lemonade to try! Such a nice time we spent in a wooden gazebo enjoying sea summer breeze, sea view, tasty food and private atmosphere.
Thank you for the hospitality with a warm atmosphere and variety of delicious food. Perfect place for breakfasts with amazing see view as well as for the dinner in a big company. Will definitely come back again and advice to all the Odessa visitors!
