If you go to Antigua this is one of the places you do not wanna miss. They serve the best tacos, etc. I've tasted south of Mexico. Furthermore the staff is super friendly and the place has a super cool vibe. Would definitely recommend!
Doña Lupita is our Antigua go-to for a fast, delicious and inexpensive meal. Great service and friendly staff. Two of us can eat for under $6 and eat well. Skip the overpriced tourist traps, do your wallet a favor, eat at Doña Lupita.
The food here is soo good!! And cheap!! Even though it is ‘quick bites’ it tastes as good or even better than anything in restaurants. The woman was so nice and patient explaining how to do everything in English - you think she would be...bored of having to do this every time , but she was soo nice! We came back the next day for more but it’s closed on Mondays :(More
Food was made fast, but not fast food. Very good. Staff is very helpful and kind, and tolerant of we gringos who can't quite grasp the language. Inexpensive and delicious. Not the easiest place to find, so I would call it a hidden gem. Definitely...a place to look for if you find yourself in Antigua.More
I have been to Antigua many times in the past but somehow had missed Doña Lupita. I came across it today. I'm telling you, it is just awesome. It's just a hole in the wall & no atmosphere but the tacos are just the best...I've ever eaten. Gabriel, the cook, takes your order for meat, chicken, beef or chorizo and cooks it right in front of you stuffs it in the tacos and then brings them to you. You then go back for the condiments, onion, cilantro and various salsas. I liked the tacos so much for lunch I went back this evening and had the Gringas, large flour tortillas-- just the best and the price is very good as well.More
I live in Chicago, so I'm no stranger to superb Mexican food. But this little spot in Antigua is the best I've ever had — so good we went back a second time during our three days in Antigua. Inexpensive, too, and the staff are...lovely. Can't recommend it highly enough.More
