Highly recommend checking out this eatery during your stay in Antigua. It has amazing authentic food. It was recommended to us by a friend from Antigua and is highly popular with the locals. You can tell it has delicious food as the place is always...busy! We tried the Almuerzo de pollo a la lena which was only 35 quetzales and came with soup, an entire chicken leg quarter, potatoes, salad and a drink. Amazing food for the price! It was so delicious my boyfriend had to order a second dish!
Just to be aware they accept ONLY CASH.More
Authentic food that locals like to recommend. They may not have everything available on their menu because when they run out they truly run out! That is a sign for their desire to serve fresh local cuisine at a very affordable price. Service is not...the best but it is worth a stop while in Antigua.More
On discovering this spot, I returned daily.
This authentic Guatemalan fare is exceptional in terms of taste and value for money.
I speak no Spanish and am vegetarian but managed to order successfully every time. The place is full of locals and buzzing with energy....A must stop on your next trip to Antigua.More
When we ate here there were only a limited number of dinner items available. After settling on second and third choices we found a table and settled in. All three different dished were tasty and satisfying. t
The tortillas were hand made and good. We...do not remember the name of even one of the dinners, however we would order them again without hesitation.More
I loved eating here and ate here about six or seven times while I was in Antigia. The staff are so friendly and are very patient with those who are beginners at speaking Spanish. The food is abundant, delicious and affordable. A must visit!
The food was amazing, the dining area was a little sketchy. If you want traditional, this is the place to go. I have a mold allergy and immediately started sneezing when we walked in. We haven’t had a better meal, though.
We came here the first night we spent in Antigua. I would have go back if I could. Vegetarian will also be very happy here with a super tasty plate of potatoes salad, greens and rice. I really enjoyed it.
