They ran out of one item on this dish and said we had to order something else, they couldn't...replace that one item with anything else. When we ordered the steak, they severely undercooked it. Was a bit disappointed given all the glowing reviews. I ordered the standard chicken, potatoes and salad, which comes with two tortillas and a glass of lemonade. It arrived to my table in about 3 minutes and it tasted like it. It was good but...nothing special, perhaps because it’s so cheap. This place is definitely not overhyped. It was around the corner from my hotel and I got in at 2, so the staff directed me here. For Q35, it’s probably the best non fancy meal I’ve ever had and it’s hard to not keep going...back! You will see the ladies making fresh tortillas out front. They are only open 7a-4p right now. The meal to get is the pollo asado. It’s rotisserie chicken, a yummy salad, and grilled potatoes. Sounds super simple, and it is, but it’s spectacularly simple. The meal comes with limonada and I was advised by some expats that it’s safe to drink. Sad I only had a few sips, but I’ll be going back for more!More

You feel like you've had chicken and potatoes just about every possible way, right? Wrong. I couldn't believe how delicious they prepared even the simplest of ingredients. I love this place. The food is delicious and the price is so reasonable. I had a delicious bowl of bean and chorizo soup, scrambled eggs, chorizo, hand made tortillas and a drink for five dollars! Highly recommend checking out this eatery during your stay in Antigua. It has amazing authentic food. It was recommended to us by a friend from Antigua and is highly popular with the locals.
