This is one of the restaurants we never miss on our yearly trip to Guatemala. Epicure is beautiful with delicious food and top notch service. John and his staff are attentive, friendly and able to meet any of your dietary needs. Can’t wait to return...next year.More

This is a favorite restaurant of ours with great food and well trained staff. Indoor and garden seating is available and the menu offers a wide variety of wonderful dishes. There are specials offered each day to further tempt you.

Beautiful place but expensive and the food is very mediocre for the price. I do not recommend this restaurant!

After some shopping at the Mercado de Artesanias El Carmen, we walked across the street and had a very good lunch at Epicure. We were seated in a shaded area around a garden. Flowering plants cascaded around our table, and we were treated to a...couple of birds feeding on their blossoms - such a delightful setting! They served us a complimentary roasted tomato cold soup that was quite tasty. My wife ordered their Cheeseburger, and I ordered a build-your-own personal pizza with mozzarella, goat and Parmesan cheeses, sausage, mushrooms, garlic, and olives. My wife's cheeseburger was huge! She could only eat half of it, but enjoyed the half she could eat. I probably should not have finished my pizza, but it was so good that I just kept on eating. The only negative with it was that it was a bit greasy, so I had to eat it with my fork. Overall we had a very good lunch at Epicure and recommend it to anyone in the area.More

Food was very good. Good choices. Well prepared. Excellent service as always. Convenient location, particularly if you are north of the square.

Excellent lunch. They have an extensive menu with lots of choices as well as daily specials. I ordered the trout with lemon & caper sauce served with fresh seasonal vegetables. Delicious. The staff has one of the best customer service I encountered in the entire...country. The place is also really cozy with a back garden. It was only locals when I went for lunch. The prices are high for Guatemala standards but it’s consider a delicatessen shop and gourmet restaurant. Also, the best part of it, they support a local fundraising organization. So you are eating amazingly while supporting a good cause. If you don’t want a full meal, they have great coffee and homemade pastries! (And a gourmet shop at the entrance)More

This establishment is a combination upscale grocery with take out prepared food and a restaurant. When you come here, walk to the very back of the place...past the first two areas of seating and the bar area. You will find yourself in a lush, private...garden setting. You can sit on the main patio or snake around the perimeter and sit in the secluded private tables that face the main restaurant. The menu appears to be of general European fare with a Central American twist. I indulged in the special of the day which was trout served with a creamy caper sauce and accompanying juicy vegetables which were a combination of hericot verts, eggplant/squash and chayote. The fish was tender and juicy and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The accompanying white sangria was a bit disappointing and appeared to be a mixture of white wine, lemon juice and maybe champagne. The sauce on the fish was interesting but a bit strange like other sauces I have encountered on my journey to Antigua. Service was attentive and friendly. Stop by the front store on your way out and grab some goodies for later.More

I enjoyed the setting, especially in the far back as the garden is beautiful and it's lovely to sit outside. I ordered the special of the day ... a salmon on espinaca. When it arrived I couldn't eat the salmon as it's not fresh...it's that...weird farm raised salmon with the strange color. I ate the espinaca and had a fresh jaimaca. The waitress immediately saw something wrong and asked if there was a problem. I mentioned that the salmon is strange...and then she said yes it's farmed salmon. I was expecting to be offered another entree like todays stuffed mushroom, but nothing. I was presented with a full bill of $30.00 Poor decision from my point of view. I bought items from the deli that look lovely...I will not eat in the restaurant again.More
