My favorite bakery/ café/ restaurant in Antigua! The bakery has the BEST banana bread and chocolate brownie! The brownie is 8Q, which is quite expensive, but totally worth it! I used to buy a banana bread to take with my on weekend trips so I wouldn't have to eat in restaurants etc. (saved a lot of money that way!). The... More

according to the menu, Dona Luisa Xicoteneatl was one of, if not, the first bakeries selling whole wheat bread ["pan integral"]. over the years, it has expanded into a bakery and restaurant. the patio has about 16-20 tables, so moderate sized. the food was great - fresh, tasty, filling, and reasonably priced. if you go at 8-9am, expect it to... The restaurant was not crowded & service was good but the food was mostly tasteless. Not sure how French 🍟 could lack taste or how poor were the vegetarian burgers. My advice is to eat elsewhere

We took a large group of 13 here for breakfast. The favorites were the omelettes, pancakes and cappuccinos.

Really enjoyed visiting this place for breakfast, a wide variety is available on the menu and we throughly enjoyed everything we ate. Milkshake was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best I've ever had even if it was a bit expensive. The fresh baked treats downstairs are also well worth your attention.

Excellent breakfast venue, food great but inexpensive. Efficient and polite waitress service. Just what you need to start the day, especially as the posadas (guest houses) often don't have restaurant facilities.

We ate lunch at Dona Luisa's twice on this visit and enjoyed the plain good food. Omelets were particularly good, as was the chili and potato dish. Very reasonable prices. The adjacent bakery has terrific granola bars and hot cross buns, besides t he standard loaf bread.

The setting is quaint, but the sandwiches are true American bland. However, that is just what my wife needed and it fit the bill. If you are done with trying the next experiment and need a home base- this is it. Also the bakery attached is excellent -so grab a loaf to go with your bottle of wine back at... More

You eat in a nice garden. Food on budget. Good breakfast for the price. Their is a bakery in the same building with good banana bread.
