Trip Advisor has Hugo's address wrong. Antigua's best known ceviche place is now on 7a (Septima) Calle Poniente near 3a (Tercera) Avenida Sur. My wife and I and our Spanish language teachers went to Hugo's for a farewell lunch. We were all primed for ceviche. We also chose nachos for a starter. We enjoyed the nachos a lot. Our teachers... My handsomer half and I enjoyed lunch at Hugo's the other day. We preferred their old location better as it was easier to find, but we managed to find their new location easy enough. There were tables available; we did not have to wait, and when we requested to change tables for a bit more shade, it wasn't a problem... More

My partner and I are ceviche enthusiasts. We found Hugo's while we were walking through the streets of Antigua. This ceviche is incredible. We got the ceviche mixta with their special (secret) sauce and we came back each day of our trip. Also order one of their beer concoctions (it is a Bravo beer with lime, chili, and other ingredients)--super... More

We had the medium camarones ceviche and it was a huge portion with at least two cups of shrimp in a large bowl. It had a tomato lime marinade and was tasty, but needed more lime juice for our taste. We asked for lime juice to accompany and adjust the flavor and it was quickly delivered to the table. Very... More

Hugos is a good bet to get great ceviche at a reasonable price. You can get served in one of their pickup trucks on the street or in the restaurant. Either way, the food is great. Best fo all their prices are reasonable.

Didn't expect to find a good and safe place to get ceviche in Antigua, Hugo's was the best surprise. Restaurant is well located, couple blocks from the square. Large clean friendly restaurant. The star of the show remains the ceviche. Other food we had was a bit meh (shrimp plate, fries, tortillas) but worth it for the ceviche. In future... More

We were a little bit afraid of getting ceviche and seafood in Antigua because of the many warnings not to eat the seafood. We took a chance on Hugo's and we are very glad we did. The restaurant was very nice. My wife decided not to try the ceviche and had fried shrimp instead. The shrimp were large and some... More

It's pretty hard to find good fish and seafood in Antigua. After all, we're in the mountains here! That's why I was so glad to find Hugo's on 7th Calle. I know that Hugo's ceviche truck on Santa Lucia is wildly popular so I was eager to sample the fare at the restaurant. I stopped in for lunch with friends... More

We got the ceviche with four items--shrimp. fish, conch, and clam (I think). They have nice marinade and the seafood seemed fresh (did not have that stinky taste that other have).

This place has the best Guatemalan style ceviche in all of Guate!!!! You must try the "cerveza preparada" that is beer prepared with their special mix. The place is SUPER CLEAN, the service is great, and they more than gladly prepare your ceviche to go if you're in a rush!! I've been coming here for the last 7 yrs, from... More
