A little bit of France in Guatemala

The windows caught my eye and we went in to dinner. The inside is appointed like something you might find in a Paris Bistro. It was surprising to find French Styled food in such a small village. My husband had the beef burgonione & it was good a bit different from the traditional but the sauce... read more

We passed by one afternoon, checked out the menu and decor, and decided we must eat there. Came back early that evening for cocktails at the bar-- friendly bartenders, super margaritas and killer negronis. We moved on to a table and dinner and had perfect steak frites and sesame seed crusted tuna. Friday evening and the tables and room filled... More

After walking by the restaurant many times over the past couple years and always seeing a full house, we finally decided to have dinner here. The food was excellent, our waiter knew a good amount about the menu, and it was an overall very comfortable atmosphere. If you are looking for a pleasant time, interesting food, and have about 200... More

This restaurant is a bit pricy, but worth it. Goat cheese with the sweet beetroot in this warm salad was a great pairing. We had the duck and pork loin as mains. I loved the apples in the sauce for the duck. Everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were amazing, sweet and savory. The atmosphere is elegant and not... More

Bad service, not customer oriented at all. Food is OK. Ordered a seared Tuna, it was overcooked, the spinach served as a side was chewy, couldn't eat it. Pasta wa not al dente. They refused to replace the plates. Average food, bad service.

Nice ambience, good wine selection, great food, good service. We were thrilled with the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a good idea to make a reservation. It was packed the night we were there.

Beautiful French food and lovely service. We particularly enjoyed drawing on the paper provided on the table in the hope of being framed on the wall!

Yes to everything at Bistrot Cinq! We had our group dinner here our last night in Guatemala and as usual, service was attentive and the food offerings great. A few of us ordered the hamburger which was thick and juicy (order medium rare), very tasty and had a huge side of fries. The Mac and cheese had a ton of... More

Nicely decorated, upmarket restaurant on the main shopping/eating street off the Plaza. French style menu - the food and service were excellent but it was rather pricier than the norm in Antigua.
