About
French Bistro open since 2007. Everything we serve is made from scratch, just like Grandma used to do it. We get up early and go to bed late so we can offer you, fresh, seasonal ingredients that we buy from people we personally know and trust. (Except the salmon and escargot. They’re on a tourist visa.) Our staff gives you personalized, 1 on 1 attention in English or Spanish. We’re going to treat you like family and feed you like family (trust us, you won’t leave hungry with our generous portions and you’ll still have room for our tasty key lime pie). We offer a variety of local and foreign hand crafted beers, wines, spirits from all over the world and Absinthe. We take pride in what we do because

I've been in Antigua Guatemala for 2 months and tried many of the fine restaurants that it has to offer. Of my dining experiences, Bistrot Cinq was the most flavorful and delicious. I was directed to Bistrot Cinq in the pursuit of the fabled Absinthe,...which was served beautifully and was beyond my wildest expectation. I returned to try their food and was absolutely astounded by my meal, as it was the BEST I have had in 2 months in Antigua. I ordered STEAK FRITAS (M) and received a perfectly cooked fillet mignon with homemade fries and a delicious sauce. I've tried many restaurants in Antigua and this is my favorite meal! Perfection!! Shout out to Oscar for the wonderful service!More

Excellent French restaurant. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals from the tuna tartare and grilled octopus starters to the chocolate mousse and key lime pie for dessert. We are sea bass, pork cutlet, Mac and cheese, mussels and shrimp risotto. We would recommend...them all. It is pricey but worth it in our opinion.More

My husband and I had been counting the days to be able to travel after the pandemic. Our first destination was Antigua, Guatemala and first meal out was at Bistro Cinq! It was amazing! The food was spectacular, I only wished my stomach was bigger!...I had the roasted beet salad and steak frites! Our waiter, Marlon, was extremely friendly. Their Covid protocol made us feel very safe. I highly recommend it!More

We finally tried Bistrot Cinq last night just because it is a half block from our apartment where we live part time in Antigua. The ambience is warm and friendly, even with social distancing. Our waiter Marlo was outstanding-attentive but not overbearing. The food was...out of this world, as good as a European cafe! We had French Onion soup, a roasted beet salad , Calamari and creme broule. Everything was cooked to perfection. Oh, and fresh limeade made on the spot-no alcohol is allowed after 6 pm at the moment-in Antigua. This will go to the top of “must visit” places for us and for guests in Antigua.More

Brazilian friends living in Guatemala invited us to experience, while visiting Antigua, "Bistrot Cinq" - a French bistrot with Guatemalan flavors in the historic center of this ancient city. It was an unforgettable evening! Nice decoration, romantic lighting, inspired cuisine, extensive wine list and extremely...friendly and welcoming staff! Antiguan born Chef Mario Godinez mixes traditional French recipes to local flavors and the results are absolutely overwhelming! "Soupe aux oignons", "Magret de canard", Steak frites" and "Champignons sautés" - all perfect! Check also his "Poisson du jour" and enjoy your evening at this romantic bistrot at the heart of Antigua! Bon Appétit!More

Elegant place with great service and delicious food. I had roasted beets, goat cheese and arugula as an appetizer which I have ordered out and actually made at home before. These were the best beets I ever had. I went with the duck with mushroom...risotto for the main course and it was to die for. A little bit of a walk from the main drag, but worth it if looking for an upscale meal.More
