I could see the ice cream stretch as it was being scooped and knew then that this was not a quality, real ice cream. This is the stuff they pass off for ice cream today with so many ingredients that one needs a chemist to...explain the contents. Real ice cream is Häagen-Dazs made from cream, milk, sugar and natural flavor. $11 for two regular cones.More

I have been coming to Nantucket for 40 years and eating ice cream has always been part of my summer ritual, and now my family’s summer ritual. When I was a teen there were two places to choose from and my friends and I chose...the place with the line around the corner. My family continued the tradition until this year when I tried Stars. Over three days I had chocolate, coffee, butter crunch, and chocolate chip. (Yes, 4 ice creams in 3 days!) Stars is hands-down the best ice cream on island. The only drawback is that they do not have homemade cones, but the quality of the ice cream more than makes up for it. (Contrary to what another review said, it is not Edy’s.)More

There are better places nearby, but the lines can be terrible. Here the line was short, service was quick. Flavors were meh.

This place is right on the Wharf we passed by it the first time thinking was more in town. The location was looking over the harbor and had picnic tables so you could sit and watch the harbor while having ice cream or coffee. It's...was small place in the back of dock but if follow the signs you will find it with no problem. The staff was helpful with decision on which ice cream to try or could even mix your flavors. Patience when we wasn't sure what wanted and was not crowed. It's a minute walk to the hy-line as well.More

We stopped in one evening and enjoyed their ice cream. They have a walk up counter to order ice cream and frozen yogurt. You can eat it outside and watch the marina.

The ferry boat recommends this place and there are even discounts, but I do not want Edy's ice cream from an ice cream parlor.

Simple and direct...this little ice cream place has a counter where you order from a couple dozen flavors of Ice cream and frozen yogurt. You order; you pay; and you can sit outside on the dock overlooking the harbor...there are about four picnic tables with...umbrellas to shield you from sun and elements. The ice cream is quite good - on my last visit, I got rum raisin, a nice, old-fashioned flavor. I sat on my picnic table and watched the activitiy in the harbor...keeping an eye on the nearby gulls. The place is rarely crowded - the best kept secret in town. Enjoy!More

I stopped in on a hot day. The icecream was good but very expensive at about $5/cone. Lots of people were enjoying their icecream.

Lots of flavors to choose from here, and step outside to enjoy it at picnic tables right on the wharf! Make this a breezy ice-cream experience. Summer never tasted so good!

Ice cream always hits the spot after a good meal. Stars was very handy so we could grab ice cream as we walked away from The Tavern. Having mentioned that Scott from Nantucket Island Tours told us to stop by the nice gentleman gave us...a percentage off our ice cream bill. We haven’t had that perk on our trip to this area. Excellent ice cream and service!! Thank you!More
