There is no question that the food here is excellent. Have been here on multiple occasions. The service is also good. However, I gave it 3 stars because the servers/bartenders/owners are very awkward and make me feel uncomfortable every time I go there. It's almost as though there's an inside joke that you're not apart of. Not that I care,... More

Seems casual, but service and food are anything but. Highly recommended. The vibe is fun and the service is fantastic.

Extra-ordinary taste! I am generally so picky about food and for some reason I have never been comfortable with the Asian cuisine. However, after dining at The Nautilus I understood that it was the other Asian restaurants fault! It is delicious! We went to the island in the offseason and most of the places were closed. So we decided to... More

My wife and I traveled to Nantucket to celebrate her birthday. We have never been to Nantucket in the offseason before. Due to the nor'easter, we had the entire downtown to ourselves. We went to the Nautilus based on the recommendation from our hotel. I was glad to see the Nautilus ranked in the top 8 by TripAdvisor. We were... More

Nantucket is familiar to us. We're here several times a year. But this was our first visit to Nautilus, and what a treat. The menus is a cross between Asian and New England, leaving one wondering if oyster tacos done Japanese style could possibly work. They do! Quite wonderfully so. Same with blue crab fried rice, and the rest of... More

This restaurant is great fun. Excellently prepared eclectic food. Good staff. Interesting, and expensive, wine menu. Truly a nice experience.

Overall, my main recollection of Nautilus is the noise level and crowd. It is definitely an active "gathering place" on Nantucket with lots of people trying hard to be attractive. Unfortunately, this distracts from the food, and maybe even the service. We had the Dan Dan Noodles, a favorite dish that we have eaten around the world; here it was... More

And it was the best. Outstanding food in a fun setting. Shame about the tv in the bar though - why do all US restaurants have these?!

It was highly recommended and it was above expectations . The combination of flavors you get in every dish is unbelievable . We were a large party so we shared the food and I cannot tell you of anything we didn't like but I can tell you that the best duck I have ever tried is there . Please try... More

My wife and I visited after seeing the menu on the outside. A little hesitant, but thought we'd check it out. It was fantastic. My wife had blue crab stir fry, I had the skirt steak, and calamari as an app. All were fantastic and the taste was outstanding. I also need to mention the service was friendly and quick.... More

Located in the heart of downtown Nantucket just steps off of Main Street, The Nautilus is owned & operated by a local trio of culinary entrepreneurs, Executive Chef Liam Mackey, Mixologist Clinton Terry & Sommelier Stephen Bowler - all formerly of island favorites the Pearl and Boarding House - are thrilled to bring our vision to your plate. The Nautilus is a truly special dining destination focused on the interplay between food, cocktails & wine, & our feeling that these are best enjoyed shared. Open-kitchen dining featuring a chef's bar, a lively drink bar, communal & banquette seating - perfect for both intimate encounters & large group liaisons. The menu is focused on vibrant small plates & multi-person "feasts" using local/seasonal ingredients. Globally styled dishes with strong Asian and Latin roots are a perfect complement to our culinary-inspired cocktails or a great glass of wine. Come early, and stay late, the energy is infectious and the experience is unlike any you will have anywhere else on the island. The Nautilus is open year round and is happy to book your next private party or special event Come get a taste.
