A hidden gem, Ships Inn never disappoints. It is awkwardly located in a cramped basement, but it you can get over the space, the service and food will keep you coming back. Attentive severs are seasoned professionals who know the food and can explain and...More

We live on the Island and are constantly being asked: "What's your favorite restaurant?" Ship's Inn is our answer. You walk down a few steps to a cozy dining room. Through a set of double doors is a small bar and another dining area. Food...More

I make a point of going to the Ship's Inn for dinner several times a season, because of the menu, the ambiance and the relatively good prices (for Nantucket). On my latest visit two weeks ago, I was disappointed for the first time. While the...More

The restaurant is located in the lower level of the Inn - very cozy and romantic. The food was delicious and creative. Will keep this one on the list.

The hubs and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Ships' Inn . The staff was very attentive, the food was fabulous ( oysters on the half shell, short ribs, stellar souffle' etc.) The restaurant is above and beyond without a hint of stuffiness!❤

First thing's first since I didn't see this discussed in many of the reviews I read--there is no air conditioning in this restaurant. The restaurant is located in the cellar of the inn. There are plenty of windows on most walls. We went in September...More

The food and service were awesome, but it was so hot and humid you really couldn’t enjoy anything. There were some fans on, but no air conditioning. It was miserable and we couldn’t wait to leave.

I would not recommend this place for children- it is upscale and has a quiet ambience. I don't think your child would enjoy it.
