We had a wonderful dinner here with really delicious food and perfect service. Food is expensive and for the money you may prefer to have options; the one menu feels like a little bit of a gimmick though it makes sense when you see the size of the kitchen. The restaurant feels a little dated but it was started in... More

Always a warm and welcoming experience in a terrific atmosphere with a diverse menu selection. We have been coming for years, and congratulations on 40th anniversary in business!! The menus are set out a week in advance so you can choose what night you come for dinner based on the menu. With two seatings each night, we opt for the... More

Very charming atmosphere and amazing food. The staff and chef were extremely welcoming and friendly. We loved it. There was another couple who thought it was too loud, and it probably was. They cared more than we did.

Only one or 2 seating so for fine dining prix fixe set dinner menu. Last Tuesday, we enjoyed Maine crab cake with lemon/lime sauce , classic beef Wellington with wild mushroom druxelle and chocolate tart with chocolate mouse and chant ill cream

This restaurant only does set menus so its important to look ahead and make sure that you'll enjoy what you're eating. That being said, every time I've been there the food has been excellent. The set menu actually forces me to try new things, which I really enjoy! The ambience is spectacular and when the harpist plays the mood is... More

Everything was perfect about this meal. I guess the only thing you have to worry about is if the meal they are serving that night suits your taste. So check the weekly menu before you book. But they did it all right. Don't hesitate to go.

First-rate food and service. It's pre-fixe, so check the menu before calling for reservations (and yes, you'll need reservations.

Fine dining circa 1971. Dated and fussy. Painful strict in and out seating that precludes a leisurely dining experience. So-so food. Set menus. Too many excellent restaurants in Nantucket to waste a night there.

We've eaten in fine restaurants around the world but this little gem is right up there as one of our favorites! Each night they only serve one entree so you need to match your taste with the right offering that night. Fantastic ambience. Very intimate and cozy and romantic. We usually go for special occasions. Been around for decades and... More

I have visited this restaurant several times while on Nantucket. In a word...Excellent! Wonderful food, excellent staff and the owners are there greeting their patrons and making them feel at home each time. Small and very cozy and if you have some friendly people sitting at the table next to you, you just may make plans to get together with... More

If you want to feel
as if you have your own private chef, make reservations to dine at The Company of the Cauldron. Located in the heart of Nantucket's Historic District, the abundant charm of this small red building with ivy-covered windows invites you to enter. Inside the doorway massed flowers greet you on the antique bakers rack. Just beyond, tables glow softly, lit only by candles. The kitchen is open and can be seen from the dining room. Classical harp music wafts in the background three evenings of the week. Romantic ambience abounds.
