Simply sublime - we have always wanted to eat at Company of the Cauldron on a Monday when they do a special lobster dinner. So glad we got to eat here tonight. amazing popovers, delicious salad and an incredible lobster preparation. It was delightful that...Joseph Keller (chef/owner) joined us for a while. A classic creme brûlée ended our meal. We have a fabulous evening.More

Company of the Cauldron offers buckets of buttermilk fried chicken that must be ordered in advance for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday pickup. It’s 8 pieces of chicken for $30. The sides are a la carte. We ordered Brussels Sprouts for $12 that “serves two,” but...there were only 8 spouts, and we thought that was stingy. The Caesar salad, $15, also “serves two,” was an appropriate amount.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you see their Beef Wellington posted on the menu, RUN don't walk! It is that good. This is a delicious meal starting with their hot Popovers, Ceasar salad, the tenderest beef (Montana) that literally almost made me cry and...an amazing dessert. Also do the wine pairing - you can't miss. The team keeps pace with your drinking! Who's better than that. Thank you to the Team at Company of the Cauldron!More

This restaurant has a "table d'hote," meaning that everybody gets the same things to eat. It's just like home, only more expensive. On the day we went, the three courses were Caesar salad, Wagyu sirloin with lobster mashed potatoes and a medley of vegetables, and...chocolate tart peanut butter mousse. That cost $85 apiece. I also ordered a "wine pairing" for myself, meaning that the chef chose a wine to accompany each of the three courses. That cost an additional $60, which seemed like a lot until I noticed that our waiter, Johnny Garcia, kept giving me refills, so I ended up consuming about six glasses of wine. This satisfied me, but my wife was not quite so pleased. We both, however, had splendid meals with perfect service, and I staggered back to the hotel without incident.More

Two seatings and very organized. Very friendly service and lovely atmosphere. It’s just a very long evening..one kind of gets the feeling like you are at a wedding..everyone has the same meal and is served at about the same time. We loved the popovers and...delicious salad. We had the short ribs and polenta for our main course. It was average. We have had short ribs so many times that were absolutely delicious, in other fine restaurants, so we expected the same. The dessert was just okay- nothing special..kind of shocking actually. We had been the week before and enjoyed the atmosphere so much, that we came back. Over all, we felt that it’s Just not that great considering the price of each meal- $95. per person. It is quiet dining and excellent service.More

I am a foodie, but also one that hopes atmosphere and service are as delicious. CoOFCauldron nailed it! On all fronts and exceeded everyone’s expectations. The Chef visiting our table and chatting post meal was cherry on top. Food was loaded with flavor, portions just enough...but not too much and the colors were as if a floral designer was behind the scenes. The aroma from the kitchen has us mad starving by the time the food arrived bout we never felt that it was late or delayed. The timing was perfect and the waist staff courteous and pleasant- and knew what they were selling. We’re coming back in a few days and it is TOP on our list for meals to redo. Hoping to say hello Chef Keller again as he was a hoot! Run don’t walk to Cauldron it will be the highlight of your holiday.More

The decoration and ambiance are lovely. It's perfect for a romantic dinner but also for a group of friends. The thing that disappointed me was the discrepancy between the price and the food we were served. Everything was fine but it was nothing out of...the ordinary. I know Nantucket is expensive but in that price range I was expecting to be wowed more than I was. Service was good though.More

We totally enjoyed our experience- a unique concept-like going to a dinner party prepared by a top in the world chef. The wine pairing was perfect. The popovers fresh from the oven. We went on a hanger steak night- “melt in your mouth”, spectacular preparation!...The broccoli gratin was perfect- light+tasty. Warm almond cake/berry dessert excellent. Service super knowledgeable/friendly like part of the family. Very attractive small quaint restaurant. Close seating. Open kitchen. Relaxed euro style pace. Chef Keller super nice and ridiculously talented. Massachusetts doesn’t have a Michelin star restaurant- but this certainly should be! Beyond the rave review, advice- check out the night menu on line or at storefront ahead of making a reservation- i.e. if you have a lobster allergy on lobster night, pick another night, but the experience should not be missed, especially by Foodies. It’s a WOW!More
