We ordered the spring salad and risotto. Both dishes were very good. Not knowing portions, we shared the two items. I would say that it was small for even one person BUT the taste was great. Next time we would order more. I was also...surprised that the mean came with no bread - that would have been a nice addition.More

Outstanding meal!!! I can’t say enough about my filet with French lentils, grilled pears, blue cheese& candies walnuts, creamed spinach Every bite I said how much I enjoyed it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well worth a visit!

My husband and I were looking for a place to go on our final night in Nantucket. It was a blistery Tuesday evening in October and we were struggling to find a place that wasn't closed for the season. We ended up getting an appetizer...and two desserts here. The appetizer was a deconstructed tostada - the flavor of the mole, refried beans, avocado puree, and the pork belly were spot on. We finished out the night with two desserts: a fall bread pudding and a chocolate ganache pudding -- YUM. The bread pudding was apple with maple ice cream and a delicious caramel sauce, hands down the best bread pudding I've ever had.More

We had a reservation at Dune to eat on the patio which was lovely and heated nicely. My husband had the scallops and I hate the pork chop plate. Very yummy and the cappuccino at then end was smooth and delicious as well.

Had an amazing dinner here outside in their patio. They had heaters and did everything to make sure people were comfortable. We had some of the best cocktails here in all of Nantucket. Kudos to one of the few places on Nantucket that use a...reservation system.More

Dune Restaurant & Bar 9/26/20. Suffice to say, we’ve all had countless dinners at fantastic restaurants in our travels. You know a great meal when you have it, but when is a great meal even more, next-level, and beyond delicious? When is a meal so...much more than just “food?” Where every dish, bite, and taste is multi-layered, nuanced, and impossibly executed for an entire dining room? That’s what we experienced last night at Dune in Nantucket. If you visit the island, you must go to this local favorite. “Amazing” is a lazy man’s description of the place, and frankly an injustice to whoever created these dishes. The menu is inspired, varied, and creative. Every dish has been perfected—literally, visually, and tastefully. We ordered a ton of food and shared it with each other because we were blown away by all the flavors. And I’m not one to share food at the table! 😜 Here’s what we ate: Honeynut squash bisque with Maine crab,hazelnuts, poblano, chayote squash, and smoked maple crema... Randy doesn’t care for seafood, and almost didn’t order this because of the addition of crab, but he LOVED IT... WE ALL DID! Crispy Rhode Island Squid stir fry with Chinese sausage, lemongrass, ginger, oval chard, fermented black beans, basil & sesame cracker... Jeffery loved it. Mission figs and smoked blue cheese with watercress, candied walnuts, prosciutto crisp, aged balsamic, and lemon gel... my appetizer... was delicious, and in any other restaurant could’ve been the stand-out, but it just couldn’t compete with everyone else’s appetizer selections, but was delicate and flavorful. New England clam chowder with New Zealand cockles, thyme cream, smoked bacon, butternut squash, celery root, mirepoix, chives... NEVER HAD CHOWDER LIKE THIS OR AS GOOD. Roasted mushroom risotto with truffles mascarpone, black garlic mushroom purée, preserved lemon, pecorino, parsley, and Parmesan broth... WOW. Grilled heritage pork chop with charred onion soubise, local husk cherries, cauliflower, leeks caper-raisin relish, pistachios, tomato gravy... perfectly cooked and JUICY. Grilled Atlantic swordfish with with honey nut squash, pancetta, local greens, grilled dragon beans, preserved lemon-cherry tomato vinaigrette, and Nantucket bee pollen... WAS OFF THE CHARTS. Pan roasted jumbo sea scallops with grilled corn, parsnip purée, flageolet beans, lobster broth, pablanos, prosciutto chips, and smoked mushroom... Mario loved this dish but wanted MORE SCALLOPS!! Pan roasted Atlantic halibut with Thai coconut lemongrass broth, purple creamers, bok choy, local snap peas, turnip, shitaki, and basil... this dish is SUBLIME! Sautéed broccolini... dark green and PERFECTLY cooked, and lemon olive oil grilled local eggplant... simply MELTED in your mouth. Our server was unobtrusive but ever-present and professional. He knew all the dishes and made our visit fun and welcoming. Think of the time it took to type/write this... it was THAT GOOD. Highly recommend.More

Visited Dune on 9-19-20 with reservations for 6:45, Called and bumped up our time to 5:45, We arrived and were greeted and seated, Ryan was our Waiter and was very attentive and Kind. Our Appetizers were out on the table in less than ten minutes,...Our Meals followed in what seemed like perfect timing, The food was incredible compliments to the Chef, I had the Scallops and My wife had the Beef Tenderloin, We have eaten here many times and noticed it was rated #4 on the Island, In our opinion it's easily #1, The food, The Staff, The ambiance is perfect on a level that rates this #1! Your crazy if you don't eat here, This is not a "Fry Shack" if your looking for fine Dining, look no further.More

Very disappointing, went with high expectations ,none of which were met. The tables were sticky, perhaps that was because of what they were using to clean them, but after opening my grease stained linen napkin I am not so sure. I asked for a new...napkin and got another grease stained napkin , really disgusting. Some of the food was good like my risotto but my very thin sword fish was not so good and had been around a bit to long. My wife had Halibut , again a very thin cut and half of that was crust leaving slightly more then 3/8” of fish. The cost with a bottle of wine was just under $400. (Our wine was about $200). The waiter didn’t seem to care much if you liked the food or not they had plenty of reservations for the night. This place might have been good once but it has fallen so beware.More

We dined at Dune on 9/15 and had an excellent meal. We had the mushroom risotto and pork belly tostadas for starters and both were great, especially the pork bellies. We split the pan seared sea scallops, which was also outstanding. The service was great...(thanks Ryan!). Loved the atmosphere even in a pandemic. Would highly recommend.More
