Jenna the bartender/barkeep was shy to come over to us,, but finally did. We both had wings, hot was not hot,, but mildly flavoured. My. Friend enjoyed the teriyaki wings. We both enjoyed visiting with Chris, a local, who we met walking downtown Ayer. It...was because of him that we ate there.. Plenty of craft beers if you induldge. Cash duscount was nice.More

After moving to in the area well over a decade ago, I had previously stopped in exactly 1 time and found it to be a total dive townie bar where if you were not born in Ayer, you absolutely were not welcome. Fast forward. Tried...it last week after finding it under new management and found it to be a nice pub with very good food at very good prices. Plus the wine and beer selections were a pleasant and welcome surprise - Zenato pinot grigio and a coconut porter on draft, two of my favorite libations. Food selections, not a ton of choices but what I had was fresh and and well prepared. The prices were really great. Bartenders (where we ate) were very friendly and attentive. Thanks new owners for putting in your efforts. Will be back for sureMore

We stopped on a whim so I checked the reviews and said "ok let's try it". When you walk in you can still smell an old bar smell. We decided to sit outside. The outdoor area needs a lot of curb appeal. The plantings are...1/2 dead, your sitting in a parking lot there is no privacy fencing, the trains roar by, people are fixing vehicles near by and it just was not a great atmosphere. The service was good and the waitress was attentive. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and a burger and kids meal. The drinks were average, the guacamole was very chunky and lacked flavor. For the kids meal we ordered the grilled cheese which was very good! The veggies and dip that came along with it were just celery and carrots right out of a package like you'd get when ordering wings. The adult meal was a burger it was ok average white roll average store bought lettuce and tomato. No bakery style bread or farm fresh veggies. The fries that came along with it were pretty good. I won't be back. But if you like average bar food you may love it.More

Excellent selection of beers!! The chef rocks! Service was top-notch. Went with the fried chicken and cubano sandwiches. The hot wings were perfect and meaty. Will return soon!! Will try a meal such as steak frites or salmon, or a vegie ravioli.

ok, so i live fairly near by and have probably been past here several thousand times......and never stopped in....it is a little buried around a corner and next to the trains but inside is neat and nice so we were glad we stopped in....service was...friendly and they had a very nice selection and varied of both bottled and draft beers, fried chicken sandwich and the cuban were both very good as were the garlic fries and the nice little side caesar....they place got pretty busy all of a sudden and things got a little slow but not due to anyone not trying.....don't be like me, stop in and be pleasantly surprised.....they also have an outside dining area for the warmer weather....glad we finally visited!!!!!More
