In our never ending quest for decent Chinese food in the area, we stopped here to eat. Sakura is a place that tries to be many things, perhaps too many. They have sushi, hibachi, Thai and Chinese food. This place was not busy at all. We ordered a variety of dishes and aps. The waitress did not seem fluent in English. She brought us 2 large cups of tea. I like a small amount of sugar, there was a small holder of packets on the table. I pulled out maybe 12 packets before I found a full one that was unopened. The tops were torn off them and they were empty. The server brings dishes, mine has old dried food stuck to it. The food comes out helter skelter, first an ap and an entree. Then 10 minutes later, rice and another entree. I had ordered wonton soup, which typically always comes out first, but not here at Sakura. We are done eating, then the server brings the soup and says sorry about that. Then 5 minutes later the bill. No fortune cookies, because it's a classy fusion joint, I guess. The food was ok, not great, but mostly fresh and better than your typical Chinese food around here. The way they served the food was crazy, in 66 years I've never had Chinese food come out of the kitchen so slowly and disorganized. You might like it, but I would never recommend this place.

One wouldn't typically think of South Attleboro as a location for good food... Thus it was a pleasant surprise when my wife and I were in that city and craved a nice quiet dinner after a tough day. Trip Advisor pointed us to Sakura, a fashionably appointed Japanese restaurant. Nice selction of drinks and sushi options, including a tasty combo of raw tuna and fresh mango. Yum!

We've eaten here several times and always have a good meal. The service is prompt and friendly, making you feel welcome. The food is good, with the sushi tasting fresh and flavorful. The prices are very good as well. Worth a visit.

We decided to try the traditional menu rather than Hibachi (which was very good in a previous visit). We experienced very poor service, and every item the waitress served was cold.

I like the food here most of the time. Every now and again it is just not up to par. Either its 100% perfect, or there are a few things wrong such as wrong order, not hot enough, and or something is missing from order. This is not what I would call inexpensive take out either... I wish they could get it right.

Horrible customer service and the staff was Very Rude. My boyfriend and I like coming to this place for date nights because we enjoy eating sushi here. Our first time with the kids doing hibachi was ok. Food was ok but they served the adults less food than the kids. We thought it was just the chef and just brushed it off. So our second time there with the kids, we complained how we (adults) Again got less food and we paid full price. The waitress there was saying that their culture always gives more food to kids than adults. We argued that we paid More for Less food and it isn't fair. We asked to speak to the manager which she stormed off to get. We told him it's not fair and we go there a lot so it's not like we're giving them a hard time. We should get what we paid for. Manager took care of the bill by taking off one of the kids hibachi and still added the gratuity. We thought she did an awful job. We ourselves deducted the gratuity. The Rude waitress complained to her boss but he just let it go. She threw the check on the counter as we was walking by leaving us with a dirty stare. My kids was so uncomfortable with the staff there. Bad Experience. We would be better off at a Friendly's down the street!

My boyfriend and I ended up at Sakura on a fluke as the Shanghai Gardens down street had given us poor service. We were seated immediately as we walked in, the hostess was adorable and sweet and very friendly. We ordered the Scallion Pancakes to start and some Haru Rolls (which are vegetarian). The sauces were delicious and the Scallion pancakes were the best I have had. For dinner I had the Sunflower Maki and my boyfriend had the Seafood Udon. Both were beyond what I had anticipated. This made us not only full and satisfied but wanting to go back again often. I recommend finishing your dinner with the Tempura Cheesecake.

Just had drinks and an app here. Vegetable tempura was cold, greasy and flavorless. Wine list was fair and service was okay. To be honest I don't think the bartender ever worked as a bartender until today. (She had to ask for help to find the Cabernet)The atmosphere is nice and the beef and broccoli our neighbors had smelled great. Think the tempura was either made a head or maybe not cooked long enough. I'll try again because they were pleasant enough.

Brought my husband here for his birthday. Food was excellent and the chef was very entertaining like all these types of restaurants are. Not crowded like some of them are so, no long wait. Will definitely go there again.

They sometimes run a two for one deal and its a good deal . But for the most part I walk out of here hungry and when I ask for extra rice and mushrooms It seems I am paying extra for strangers to benefit. I ask for a whole order of shrimp appetizer and I get a couple more than the standard 2 that everyone gets. One hibachi chef is fun and knows his craft. There is another one that seems either intoxicated or just under qualified. The hibachi food itself is decent, but just over priced and small portions . been to many better Japanese Hibachi restaurants.

We've eaten here at least 10 times now. The food is always good and the hibachi "show" is fun. After several visits, it gets a bit repetitive but I suppose that's the nature of such a place. Watch those Scorpion Bowls!!!

We came here as a party of seven including our daughter, her husband, and grandchildren and were seated in the Hibachi area. Our young granddaughters were enthralled by the show and there were several new chef stunts that we had never seen before at any Hibachi restaurant. One was squirting 'sake' into the diners mouth. That was fun. The downside is that it made for a noisy evening as the crowded tables kept counting off the length of the squirt...but it was still fun. The 'not so good' was the food and the service. My wife and I had the surf and turf consisting of Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon. A bit pricey but worth the price. Unfortunately, the Lobster was quite chewy and tasted like...well, chicken. Our medium rare Filet Mignon was over cooked, well done, and dry. It tasted like chewy meat. The Fried Rice was OK but could have been better. The fried egg was left to cook too much by itself and the result was that the fried rice was not homogeneous with the egg bound with the rice. You could only eat it with chopsticks one grain at a time. The 'bad' was the service. The poor server who brought the soup and salad and took the order was overworked. There were about seven or eight Hibachi stations and most were occupied. She appeared to be serving all. We waited a long time for her to appear after the chef left and she came with the check when some of our party (especially our granddaughters) wanted ice cream for desert. When she reappeared after fifteen minutes, she brought only the ice cream. It was another fifteen minutes before she came back to bring a new check. On the average, it was not the best, and not the worst. It was average.

Ordered the bento box and I could not believe how dirty the actual box was. It looked as if it sat and collected dust. Miso soup was not good, salad was old lettuce, and the shrimp tempura was bland. Very disappointed as my first visit, the hibachi, was a pleasant one. Probably would never go back. Staff was also not that great. They looked as if they had better things to do.
