Consistently Very Good

Other than the wait for a table, there's little to complain about at Jimmy's in Arlington. The food is very good and the pricing is fair. My wife loves the strip sirloin and I've become a big fan of the chicken parm plate. For years we drove to Cambridge to eat at Frank's. No more. Jimmy's is... read more

We have eaten here several times and never had a bad experience. The wait staff are older, experienced and kindly toward seniors and children. The steaks are great and the seafood also very good. We enjoyed the beef tips, scallops and scrod dinners. Larger than it seems, we never wait long for a table. Looks like a good bar scene... More

My family went to Jimmy's to celebrate my father's birthday. It's his favorite and I can see why. We arrived for an early dinner. The hostess gave us a few choices of where we'd like to be seated as there were 6 of us. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was amazing! My sirloin tips and scallops... More

We came here for lunch last Friday as I heard good things about it. Since it was a weekday afternoon, finding parking and getting a table was quite easy. We ordered a fried calamari appetizer, a prime rib, and a seafood combo (scrod + shrimp). The calamari was as I expected. The prime rib was actually very good even though... More

This restaurant is always busy, always loud and the steak, lobster pie and rice us always consistently good. There is no reservations and be prepared to WAIT. The bar is way too busy for only two bartenders but they get it done. There are clearly regulars at the bar who get some extra attention but you can't complain about that,... More

One of the best steak houses in the US, yes, entire United States. If have lived in this state for over 30 years and I will put their Tips or Teriyaki steak up against Mew,Capital Grill, Abe and Louie's, and Morton's. And the meal is under 10 bucks. I have eaten steaks in NYC, Chicago, DC, Baltimore, Denver, LA, San... More

Visited the area at the last minute and needed to have dinner. Remembered Jimmy's at the Burlington Mall and was told the one on Mass Ave was the same owners. It had been at least 5 or more years since my last visit at the mall. The menu was the same and the food was just as great as I... More

I am violently allergic to MSG. Before I ordered, I asked if the shrimp, scallops or veal had msg. The waitress was VERY honest and said she'd check. She said EVERYTHING on the menu had msg in it EXCEPT the shrimp cocktail and side salad. I ordered the side salad and it was all ICEBERG lettuce, which I CANNOT eat.... More
