If you are in the area of Arlington, MA you MUST stop in and eat at Anthony's East Side Deli! The best meatball sub (and many say this) in the area. Huge meatballs with sauce and melted cheese. The Sicilian square pan pizza is also...a MUST! I have many friends that go here to just drop in and grab food to go. It is really an order and take out place with the very best deli and assorted items for you to take home or back to work. Staff is beyond helpful and friendly. A MUST eat stop for great food! Located on Massachusetts Avenue with parking on the street. ENJOY!More

Visited this deli to pick-up some Boarshead Genoa salami & sweet Capacola. Had an Italian sub with everything while they sloced the meats, it was a real treat. Sure to return.

Anthony's East Side deli has a nice variety of tasty deli sandwiches at very reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and efficient in constructing our sandwiches. They have a selection of breads and rolls as well as condiments. The deli only has a counter to...eat at, no tables. If you are in the neighborhood and hungary for a sandwich it's worth stopping.More

The Sicilian's spicy peppers steal the show. The prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for I think. All the meats are boar's head so the quality is there. It's on the main strip of mass ave and parking can be...an issue at certain times of the day. Recommend you park on the southern end of town and walk a little as its a lot less stressful than dealing with parking at Capitol square.More

Wife and I had stopped to buy a danish at Sweet Treats without wheat, which is a few doors down. Stopped at Anthony's and had to ask about Gluten Free options for lunch, their proximity to the GF bakery has paid off. They are using...GF Grinder (or Sub) rolls from Sweet Treats. They also offered a GF Meatball, so of course I went back to one of my favorite subs pre GF, and had a meatball sub with extra sauce and cheese. The MB was good, and I was thrilled to have a real sub roll that I could eat, but I will say, it was almost too much roll.Hate to bad mouth a product from one of my favorite bakeries, but I actually threw away the last few bites, I was so full.More

After a recent celiac diagnosis I was beyond excited to learn they had gluten free bread. I love going here with my boyfriend (who is NOT gluten free) to get subs. Everything is fresh and always tastes amazing. They have many other gluten free options...I look forward to trying.More

We called in for a late breakfast recently and were delighted to have stopped by here. The food is standard 'American deli' fare, but none the worse for it. Everything was freshly prepared, delicious and not expensive at all. Nothing not to like.

Popped in here to grab lunch a few times. Not overly friendly staff but not rude either, pretty efficient. The catering platters look good but I haven’t tried them. You get a decent amount of food for the price.

Whenever I try a new sub shop I usually go by how well they make their chicken parm. I stopped in to try Anthony's east side deli tonight for the first time and got my chicken parm. I have to say it was wonderful! Freshly...breaded chicken, not the frozen junk with a perfectly balanced red sauce that was neither too sweet or too acidic and lots of very melty and gooey provolone cheese. The kicker was the fresh braided roll that seemed like it was just delivered even though it was close to closing time. Any old timer from Arlington will understand when I say that it reminds me of luigis in the center although maybe not quite as heavy as theirs were. All in all a very good start I look forward to trying more from their menu!More
