Had dinner at Sarfalik with business colleagues and we really enjoyed a multi-course journey through local ingredients with friendly service. The restaurant is on the top floor of the Hans Egede Hotel and offers a modern fine-dining menu, based on local ingredients. The menu offers a la carte dishes that range from fairly standard international offerings to dishes that really... More

We did not expect this sophisticated food in Nuuk. Mostly cooked with Local ingredients like Musk Ox and fresh fishes. Really tasty !!

Fine dining in Nuuk, Greenland, at the Sarfalik restaurant was an experience to rival fine dining in DC. Except I wore hiking boots... Our 9 course meal included the lobster bisque, musk ox roast, and elder flower dessert. Also reindeer tartare, salted scallops, and much more.

To get to the restaurant area you had to pass by a long narrow corridor. No sea-view from the tables. The staff need further education and certainly the attitude from the staff could be much better. Despite of this fact the most dishes are innovative and focused on using greenlandic meat, fish and spices.

I have eaten there on several occasions during my stays. They have a great tasting menu, which I highly recommend.. The tasting menu usually consists of things such as musk ox, reindeers, lam, and local fish and herbs such as arctic thyme and arctic Angelica leaves and flowers..

This is the best restaurant in Nuuk, because of the variety and quality of courses on the menu and the minimalistic and beautiful environment.

My brothers eat alot so the servings would not be enough for them, but the food is always very well made and consistent - Greenlandic with a Scandinavian twist. I have tried reindeer and catfish dishes, both lovely.

I visited in early August. You need to understand that this hotel is a Business Hotel. It's low season is June to late August when most Danish and other Europeans take their annual vacation. So the restaurant only opens for lunch during this period. And with an extremely limited menu. I chose the 275DKK mixed Greenlandic plate. The menu said... More
