Excellent restaurant

I see a couple of the recent reviews weren’t that good which surprised us as we’ve been here for two nights in a row because the food has been outstanding as have the staff. We would really recommend this place because of the choice of food and the wine selection, all of which are very reasonably priced. Andy and Lynda

Good pizza

Starters(onion rings and chicken fingers) were very big,better share with your friend. Pizza was excellent! Pasta could be better taste. Apple cake was delicious and chocolatemousse cake was terrible and essence!

This place is among a line of eateries on the River Vardar next to the Central Square. I only stopped in to drink a few drafts, but ended up having the nachos. Not great, but not bad either. Most people were outside, where the seating is above the Vardar. Inside it was not crowded, outside was. Credit cards accepted. Staff and service was OK. Worth a stop in, at least for a beer.

Complete disappointment

I used to like this place, but the last two visits were a huge disappointment. First they forgot 50% of the order and messed up almost everything, we had to wait at least 10 minutes for a napkin or a glass of water or another drink. We had to wait additional 20 minutes so we can enjoy a meal together because they managed to forget one of the two meals that we ordered. Also what kind of cook would put a ball of mozzarella on the pizza, it was not melted or distributed evenly, it was just a big blob of mozzarella in the middle of the slice...

went with my friend there today (August 30th 2021-from 12:30pm until 2:30pm) We ordered our food and when this waitress came with our food, I saw that she didn't bring napkin for me. She put the food on our table and she turned to serve people next to us. I waited for her to finish her conversation and I kindly told her that I don't have a napkin and if she can give me one. I wasn't I guess that important to her, because she didn't answered anything but only marched inside the restaurant. I hoped that I will get my napkin but she didn't bring one. I finally asked one of the other waiters and he was thankfully kind. So after some time my friend got thirsty. This blond hair waitress was walking close to us and together with my friend we starter calling her to come to our table. It is impossible that she didn't hear us because the restaurant was almost empty so it was pretty quiet so I am sure she heard us. But, as we were calling and calling her, she pretend that she didn't hear us and without turning her head she went her way (and that was to seat inside and hang out with her friends). She was so so rude, she ultimately decided to ignore us, she wasn't doing her job, because it was her job to serve people and to be there, with her rude attitude she told us: I don't want you here and you are not worth my time, I don't want to lose my time with you." This is opposite of the vision this restaurant owners has written on their web site. I hope they will do something about their rude workers because I am not going again there. And probably I am not the only one and their rude workers are kicking out their customers. So owners need to think what kind of people they employ.

Great Place

Love it! We were at the Irish Pub and thought “for the same or less money, we should try the restaurant nearby instead” and we were glad we did. Dragi our waiter was lovely and spoke fab English. We had a couple of draft beers and shared the ‘ beer plate’ £17 total. We will be back for the breakfast platter for 2 in a few days. Lovely setting, Comfortable furnishings, what is not to like!

Excellent, in every way!!

Great restaurant with typical Macedonian food, located right in the heart of Skopje, and by the river. We went past the restaurant and thought it looked like a “tourist trap”, but when our guide during our walking tour of Skopje also recommended the restaurant we gave it a try. We didn’t regret that, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our gastronomical tour through the Balcan countries. Highly recommend the Shopska salad and the Pleskavica a la Toro. Furthermore the service was excellent, and our waiter extremely friendly and giving good recommendations. 10 out of 10 to Plaza de Toros!

The boss was very interested in us! The staff was very friendly and kind. We tried Macedonian Omelette and Mekici (fried dough). Both were delicious and were big in portion.Spring/summer should be better as they have outdoor area by Vardar river

Great restaurant

Nice restaurant right by the bridge. The indoor terrace has large windows and a ceiling that opens. It’s a shame that people can smoke inside. You can pay by credit card. Huge portions and they are tasty. Not that many options for vegetarians but the salads are sufficient. Cheap.

The food here was good and the house wine was a nice Macedonian wine. Nice ambiance and friendly service. The only downside was the service could be slow. Difficult to leave and hard to get the attention of the waiter

Great place for a date night and to just chill and eat delicious yet good price food. They're best known for their Belgian waffles, it's a must after a good meal, I really liked their pizzas and salads as well

The perfect dining place in Skopje

Food is delicious and the staff is very patient and helpful. Had lunch in this place for 3 consecutive days and service was always consistent. Well done to all staff at Plaza de Toros

Worst waffle

We were there today. Mostly visited by elderly people. We ordered waffles, with chocolate and rapsberryis, and it was a disaster. The rapsberryies were frozen, how can you eat them

Rude staff

Let alone the fact of the name why plaza de toros when you serve nothing spanish ? But staff are not considered, rude and i ask for my bill and paid walking out without touch my food or drink , they charged me and no one cares , just one more tourist….
