Great location, good food

We were here back in September 2019 and had no issues with waiting to be served like some of the more recent reviews. The service was okay, not the fastest, but it was fine. The food was tasty and reasonably priced - I had chicken, pork and cheese pie and my friend had a sword of meat and veg.

Excellent food and location

We were hesitant because of the great location. Every city we’ve ever visited had one thing in common, they try to please everyone and end up with bland food. This one however was different the food was outstanding, especially the the cracked knuckle. The only negative was everyone smoked.

Great place. It was just the place for a light meal after we'd had a long day in a car going to and from Ohrid. There is a separate no-smoking room cut off from the main restaurant. The food was great, and the staff really friendly. There are several interesting features, including a giant doorway shapes like an old red English telephone box, a thing people under 30 may not remember. I also noticed that the waiters were helped going in and out of the two different parts of the restaurant while laden with plates with a foot 'handle' for the doors. Our second visit was for breakfast, which was amazing. I had a Macedonian breakfast featuring cheese borek, a kind of pie/pastry, vegetables, ajvar, a spicy sauce and one of the nicest yoghurts I've ever had to drink.

Thieves - avoid at all costs.

We've literally just arrived home from visiting this bar. We ordered 7 40cl draft beers (Zlaten Dabs) over the course of our evening. The server served us a combination of sizes (we put this down to incompetency) and she apparently changed our order to (the more expensive) Tuborg after our first round. She tried to charge us for about 17 drinks when I asked for the cheque: which came to 2500 MKD: and which equates to about £35. Insane. I called her out on this - it was blatant thievery - and she immediately changed the order back to 7 drinks, but she still insisted on over-charging us (charging us for Tuborg instead of Zlaten Dab). You WILL more than likely get scammed if you visit this place as a tourist. Avoid at all costs.

First of all, the waitress was really unprofessional we were waiting 15 minutes for 2 coca-colas. Then the food came extremelyyyyy cold and we ordered burgers and fries! The food was awful. Overall everything was bad.

Poor customer service and forced to pay for something I didn’t order

So disappointment in this place. I ordered an English breakfast and specifically ordered one waffle with butter and syrup on the side. I got the English breakfast and it was alright. Then the plate of waffles came in, I got 3 instead of one drenched in white chocolate, strawberry jam and sprinkles. When I said we didn’t order that the waitress took the plate , and then came back with it and said we had to pay for it anyways even though that’s not what we ordered. They refused to take it back and said we had to pay extra for a new waffle not drenched in chocolate and syrup. Extremely poor customer service. Would not recommend at all, especially if you don’t want diabetes

Really poor!

We popped in here for lunch one day as we had a late flight home and wanted a reasonable meal. Big mistake, huge! It's a nice looking place on the main square but the food is so disappointing. We had a Royal Burger & Fried Chicken in a Bun with a Fredo Capuccino. The food is not accurately described in the english menu and my chicken in a bun was actually three separate buns with a tiny piece of tough, tasteless chicken in each with a slab of tomato and bit of lettuce. Not only that but it was cold. Everything else was pretty average as well. The final bill came to 780MKD or around £11 in GBP which is cheap but even Burger King is better than this. Avoid like the plague.

Main square

This is sort of two different restaurants with Trend being the glass house on the main square and the Bistro London in the back. Trend has another restaurant near the City Mall and I've never been impressed with the food or service. The Trend in the center is not much different. We only had coffee this time and went to pay the check, because the waiter was nowhere to be found, and went inside to the Bistro London which seems to have a different menu but is served by the same kitchen. Overall the location is good.

The trend is not to customer care !

Since 2 years I went numerous times in that place and today I want to give feedback of my experience. If the food is not bad but not tremendous you need to be patient to get it. In that place they don''t need to pay attention to customers because their location is very good and drains naturally client in the restaurant and they probably know this. Waiters turn over is very high and they don't keep the best ones. So if you want to be treated like a dog you can go there.

I had the pleasure of standing at the reception like an @sshole for six minutes before I just gave up and left. No one to seat me; it was like I was invisible. From the other reviews here, looks like that is a common practice. What a shame. I am currently across the sidewalk at Bocata, where a hostess greeted me immediately and welcomed me in.

Bad behaviour of a manager.

Hello guys,i was last night at 20:05 with my friends.We were four girls, when we entered the caffe there was no one to welcome us and we choosed a place near the air condition where it was warm for us in a cold day of october.The table was uncleaned but we choosed that table because its was warmer there even we thought they will clean it and then we will order.After 1 min a man came disrespectfully behaviour at us for no reason even didnt say hello to us he was directly saying why did u choose that table where there are to many others.We sais we chooses this one cause its warmed here and can u clean the table.He was angry and started to say no i will not clean this table because there are to many other tables that u can choose, we said its our choice to choose whenever we want there or anywhere else, he was like no u cant i am the manager and i can choose it.Then he started to scream like u dont even have masks but we had but didnt covered our mouths cause we cant drink or eat with masks, there were no one wearing masks at all.He was such a bad example for all employees.I was a regular client, the employees are perfect being to clients, but a manager to be like that its a shame for a such a restaurant like that.I would let that man wash the dishes or toilets even for that job is useless.I have a photo of a man too. Please be aware of this and check it or another time i would bring inspectors about this to be checked.

Inaccurate alergy information in the menu

Yesterday around 21h. in your establishment in Citymoll with my daughter we ordered Cheesecake hoping that what is written in your menu in the allergen section is correct without exceptions But it seems that you are playing with the lives of allergy sufferers After your Cheesecake, my daughter ended up in Urgent Care at a children's clinic I would ask you for the sake of others to revise your menu with correct allergen information because any inaccuracy can lead to fatal consequences

Great friendly bar and restaurant with sport tv

We visited this great place several times in Skopje great central square location good food and drink they are happy to put any sport on the tv for you and all the staff speak English can’t wait to come beck during the summer when the outside area is open without heaters
