My 1st time. A little tired looking inside but clean. Front desk people should be fired. Not all that bright for a Sat night. But look past these and it's a good value for customers. Service was quick and personable. All 6 of us had a different dish from fish to steak tips. I recommend the steak...any of them I... More

This is a very pleasing small town restaurant serving tasty American cuisine. We usually prefer seafood, and the Broiled Scallop and Baked Stuffed Scrod entrées easily rival any offered at Legal. The rice pudding dessert is as good as we remembered. Courteous and attentive waitstaff. Ambiance is cozy and compact, (even if the booths too much so...) Grassfields remains a... More

I had family for the holiday's and Grassfields became both our lunch and dinner location to have a break from cooking. The concept is simple, good food for a good price. The service is always very pleasant and the dining room toasty warm. We had fifteen different meals with only one minor glitch that was quickly remedied.

Grassfields' ambiance is warm, inviting, and cozy. I have been going here for 15+ years, and each time I go, the food is consistently good. Arguably, they have the best bread au gratis to begin your meal. A sesame crusted loaf of bread, which guests cut into pieces themselves (watch out, this part can get messy with the crumbs!). Their... More

Why is it that you don't go to a restaurant right in your backyard for years and then you're there 4 times in 6 months? I have never had a bad meal or service at Grassfields. Whether it be the lobster pie, salmon, scallops or steak, always the rice and homemade blue cheese dressing, it's always relish. This time my... More

Went with a group for lunch, always good. Love the rice here and always have. Good salads, chicken and steak tips. Service was very good. Go early as it gets busy.

Even though we stay in the same neighborhood for last 4 years, we have never been to Grassfield earlier. We were pretty surprised by the quality of food here. We ordered the ultimate jumbo margarita, allagash beer, roasted rack of lamb and thunderbird chicken burger. The complimentary bread and butter were good, I loved the margarita and the lamb was... I look at Grassfields as an average local dinning restaurant. Many dishes to choose from seems almost overwhelming and loses any chance of fine dinning. I don't believe that is their intent though. My steak was fair and it was thin and under cook and I asked for medium rare and it was very rare. Not the most tender but... More

Teriyaki steak tremendous. Stuffed lobster tail similar. Rice pilaf devine. Brownie sundae disappointing (not homemade, covered in sweet sauce and whipped cream - too sickly). Shame no local craft ales. Server needs to pay better attention (many mistakes made) but friendly enough. Overall a very enjoyable visit.
