Accommodated us last minute so we could eat with our children's friends and didn't rush us out the door. Was easy to chat and relax and enjoy dinner after a hectic day.

Went here with a group from work for lunch. We all loved our orders and the waitress was very nice and helpful with any questions we had on the menu.

Have eaten several times at Samuels. I have found the food to be great. One plate I love is the short ribs, the meat was falling off the bone and would just melt in my mouth. The service is equally great, they keep checking on our needs, making sure our drinks are taken care of. The food prices are reasonable... More

We went last night for dinner and drinks. They have a nice wine list with a 9oz option for some of the wines by the glass. I had their summer salad which was Arugula and Chopped Romaine with Almond Crusted Fried Goat Cheese, Shaved Fennel, Grape Tomatoes, Matchstick Potatoes, Alfalfa Sprouts, and Basil-Raspberry Vinaigrette. And for my entree I had... More

Have been to Samuel's a number of times and have been very happy every time. Love the new bar and dining room. Food is very good at reasonable price points. Much more crowded which makes for an upbeat atmosphere. Have been to Samuel's for special occasions and just meeting friends. Always a great dinner!

Not our first visit, but first to the dining room with friends other than work colleagues. Although off-season (it's on the campus of a private school whose students - and wealthy parents - had already fled to the riviera) the bar and dining areas were both lively and welcoming. Not a shorts and t-shirt restaurant the atmosphere and wait staff... More

The food was good, but a little on the expensive side. Samuel's cannot be beat for convenience, friendly and helpful wait staff, and attentive service. To be fair, we were there on a very quiet night so I would expect good service!

Samuel's is a real hidden treasure nestled within the charming and quaint Andover Inn. The menu is chock full of New England's finest, chowder, lobster crepes and a pretty good burger. The crab cake is superb and the crepes are extraordinarily delicious. I highly recommend both. They make a really good French Martini and have plenty of other drink offerings... More

Like many others, we noted the single waiter attempting to serve tables in three rooms, and it was quite a while before our order was taken or any food came. My mushroom and lobster crepe sounded as if it should be delicious, but the lobster was tough, and I was almost as hungry when I finished as when I started--in... More

The Andover Inn restaurant used to be a really good, old-school place. But in the makeover some years back, it basically turned into a sports bar trying to also serve "real" food. It doesn't work. Still quite expensive, but the food is ordinary, service barely passable, decor utterly devoid of charm, and bar noise annoying. Skip it.

Dear CaseyfromBoston, Thank you for posting about your recent experience on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your comments. We take great pride in our menu selection and service approach and will certainly look at your comments as motivation to work even harder to improve on both. For the decor, a lot of thought went into re-positioning the restaurant to make it more... More
