Excellent bistro by the Amherst Cinema. Now that The Lumberyard and Chez Albert are closed its the best bet in town unless your looking for fancy and overpriced (eg 30 Boltwood which is really more Amherst College than Amherst). Good food, fun bar, nice patio...More

Who knew that a restaurant on the side of a strip mall would be so good. I had the homemade spaghetti, Cacio e Pepo. Nice and light with just the right amount of salt and pepper. My daughter had the mussels. Even though this is...More

Had dinner 2 nights in a row at Osteria Vespa. The food was top notch with the pasta dishes reminding me of Italy. Service was terrific and the panna cotta for dessert was excellent. Highly recommend it.

While other Italian restaurants offer the usual dishes, this spot has much more of an authentic flair. The wine and cocktail lists are also a plus.

We had a great meal with friends at Osteria Vespa. We were there on a night when they offered three courses for $30 and loved it. Had a great bottle of wine, too. We love having such a good restaurant in Amherst. We'll be returning.

Some good dishes but, overall, a pricey Italian restaurant. Drinks are expensive; food is pricey for the area, & uneven in quality. Don't order the pasta, served under heated & not that tasty. Salads are OK but expensive. Main courses are fair. The waitress requested...More

Brought my daughter here for a visit and conversation. We had great wine and food at a non-hurried pace.

I frequent his restaurant once a year when I'm visiting/working at the University of Massachusetts. My experience over 4 years has all been great - great food and service. Atmosphere is quite nice too. I'm in NYC and Boston many times a year and experience...More
