A rather dark interior that hasn't been updated in years. The food is OK. Had a Greek Cobb salad and the ingredients were fresh and crisp, but nothing special. No bread or crackers served with the salad. The service was slow and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy.

We were staying at UMass and had The Pub recommended as a healthy "bar food" choice and indeed it was... We had edemame pot stickers as appretizers. Surprisingly tasty and I'm not a big fan of the soybean. Our entrees were: mushroom ravioli, talapia tacos, and chicken burrito. Everything was delicious and our portions were generous. Our server, Melissa, was... More

Tucked away near the center of Amherst, the place looks like it could be a hoppin' spot. We stopped in for a late lunch and were disappointed. Service speed was a little slow for the number of people seated. The staff was pleasant and courteous. I ordered a 1/2 pound burger, medium. It came out very well done and was... More

Eating there relatively early on a week day evening may not have been the best time to judge the atmosphere of this restaurant but it is unlikely to ever be that of a true "Pub". The menu covered standard pub type food which was served relatively quickly. While not bad, it was not outstanding but did satisfy hunger. Service was... More

Shall I compare it to a summer's day? It art more lovely and more temperate. The pub's terrace under an umbrella in the sun is not to be beaten. Check out the photo of a local Shakespeare scholar on the wall. Heartwarming. Good, reliable pub food and beer anytime of day you like.

It was a beautiful summer night and there was several customers sitting outside and that's probably where we should have ate. We chose to sit inside and it is dingy in there. The tables near the bar are awful and there were scratches and dings everywhere on the table and chairs. The whole place inside is like this. The server... More

My wife and I had lunch at The Pub in Amherst, Massachusetts. It was the first really nice day of late Spring and we were looking for outdoor dining. The Pub fit our criteria. While the view from their patio is of a parking lot the food and service made up for the lack of scenery. We both had burgers... More

When all the other resturants in Amherst are full, you cna get a seat at The Pub. The reason is fair food and bad service. We had a hamburger with no flavor and a turkey dinner with gristle. As fkr service. We sat for a long time before our waiter arrived. Then waited again for drinks. Food was served by... More

Tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon. The place was nearly empty and the service was prompt. My boyfriend ordered the Pub burger and I ordered chicken enchiladas. My boyfriend said the bun was overcooked and crunchy but other than that it was good. The fries were like a skinny version of the fries you would get at a... More
