Walk inside and you can't go wrong with anything you order. They make their own food and bake all the bread and pastry. Their challah- great! Breakfast sandwiches- great! Pastries- amazing! They sometimes have live music and offer Wi-fi and a decent amount of seating. Love this place, everything they put out is delicious!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant in downtown Amherst! You walk in and see hand made pickled items (including lemons!) on a vintage cupboard. The menu is extensive with sandwiches, and wraps on fresh baked breads, and salads galore. There were vegan, carnivore, and gluten free choices, even gluten free bread. They had all the bases covered,... More

Great Sandwich Shop on Main Street in Amherst (near the Emily Dickinson Museum) Entertainment on some evenings with great music. Wonderful place to linger for an hour or two.

Was in Amherst to visit my daughter and we stopped in for breakfast before heading to church. I got the Sante Fe Wrap, she got a toasted pastry, and her boyfriend got the Ham and Cheese Croissant. I got a double espresso and also tried Grown Up Soda for the first time. I got the grapefruit at my daughters suggestion.... More

My favorite sandwich is The Valley Girl, or sometimes the Whitefish salad on pumpernickel. This is as close to a NY Deli food place to be found in the area, with a relaxed atmosphere. You pay at the counter and wait for your name to be called to pick up. It is a popular place, and sometimes even without they... More

Love their lunch sandwiches and deli salads. Their coffee is quite good too (albeit always WAY too hot, but better than being tepid). Service can be VERY slow, and they do not seem at all concerned about that. But if you're willing to wait, do.

My husband is very particular about his daily mochas and won't go to just any coffee shop. While visiting Amherst, we tried the Black Sheep on a recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint. Huge scones and croissants, freshly brewed coffee, breakfast sandwiches, lunch salads, and a great eco friendly environment.

Tasty sandwiches, lots of options, great combos, but a full sandwich is A LOT for one person for lunch!! Nice dining area. Sit by the window if you can (few seats there but really nice to watch Amherst go by).

Get a delicious cup,of coffee or choose an exotic tea, eat a pastry, or a sandwich , enjoy local music, feel collegiate. Your will be surrounded by college students with laptops, doing work and ha I good conversations. This is a good place to get a quick bite. On the weekends there is live music which is free and fun... More
