Was a little concerned about the service after reading reviews, but we had a great experience. Food came out fast and was nice and hot. Staff attentive to our needs.

At the Lord Jeffery Inn across from the Amherst, MA town common, and a stone's throw from the campus of Amherst College, you will find a wonderful dining experience. But in the nice weather you can enjoy gracious outdoor porch dining with real old gaslights to add to the ambiance. The menu is limited, but all items are cooked to... More

We have dated at this restaurant many times, however this time a review is in order. Our wonderful meal with friends was delightfully suited to all palates. As usual, I was unable to finish the entree, even though portions are European sized. Because of miscommunication in the kitchen, my remaining portion was not saved. Since we now live in town,... What a beautiful place to dine in Amherst! I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews which I found completely unfounded. As a former New Yorker & major foodie I can say the meal I had was delicious! The salmon was delectable as was our monkfish. Our waiter had recently moved to the area from New York... More

I've been a fan of the Lord Jeff for many years. As a travel writer I used to promote it whenever - and wherever - I could. Sadly, after the horrible service my family and I received yesterday for my birthday lunch at the 30 Boltwood Restaurant, I can no longer say anything favorable about this once wonderful inn. We... I only went in the 30Boltwood to have a quick breakfast. I was alone and ordered the steelcut oats with berries. It was great and only $6. Nice sitting inside or out.

Only had the the pub menu available. Cheese assortment was skimpy and awful and the olives were warmed up. Burgers were just ok, drinks overpriced as well. Service ok. Went there late afternoon after a graduation ceremony. Not sure why they couldn't have something simple like cheese and cracker board available instead off the strange concoctions they served us.

We had a reservation, but waited 20 minutes before a server came. An additional 15 minute wait for coffee. The food was good for breakfast. The facility is beautiful, but the service was slow.

Disappointing in food and service. It was meant to be the best in town, but it wasn't. The weather in Amherst was delightfull.

When my wife and I started having regularly scheduled date nights, this rapidly became our favorite place in town. It might be the best in the Valley, though it is rivaled by the Blue Heron and The Farm Table (both in Franklin County). On our last two or three visits I've been particularly loving the salad Lyonnaise, with cubes of... More
