Food was not all that impressive...very basic and expensive for what it was. Wait staff was attentive and friendly.

Beyond my norm budget, but went with family visiting for Christmas Eve dinner. Amazing, perfect dinner, drinks, dessert. Delicious, beautiful presentation, sweet attentive waiter, ambience warm and luxurious. Truly an indulgence. I have since passed by and seen they often have a fire in a bowl out on the porch on cool nights. We were there when the fire was... More

I have visited this restaurant several times with relatives this summer. The food is good, the service is very good + unobtrusive and the covered veranda makes this a great place to watch the world go by while enjoying shade and breezes.

Met our family for a birthday dinner. Sat outside which was very pleasant. Good service. The menu is always interesting, with great starters, entrees and deserts which rotate. Always have to ask about some items as we don't recognize the names. In our minds, the best restaurant in Amherst.

Was a little concerned about the service after reading reviews, but we had a great experience. Food came out fast and was nice and hot. Staff attentive to our needs.

At the Lord Jeffery Inn across from the Amherst, MA town common, and a stone's throw from the campus of Amherst College, you will find a wonderful dining experience. But in the nice weather you can enjoy gracious outdoor porch dining with real old gaslights to add to the ambiance. The menu is limited, but all items are cooked to... More

We have dated at this restaurant many times, however this time a review is in order. Our wonderful meal with friends was delightfully suited to all palates. As usual, I was unable to finish the entree, even though portions are European sized. Because of miscommunication in the kitchen, my remaining portion was not saved. Since we now live in town,... What a beautiful place to dine in Amherst! I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews which I found completely unfounded. As a former New Yorker & major foodie I can say the meal I had was delicious! The salmon was delectable as was our monkfish. Our waiter had recently moved to the area from New York... More

I've been a fan of the Lord Jeff for many years. As a travel writer I used to promote it whenever - and wherever - I could. Sadly, after the horrible service my family and I received yesterday for my birthday lunch at the 30 Boltwood Restaurant, I can no longer say anything favorable about this once wonderful inn. We... I only went in the 30Boltwood to have a quick breakfast. I was alone and ordered the steelcut oats with berries. It was great and only $6. Nice sitting inside or out.
