We went on a Thursday in summer, and didn't have to wait at all for a table. Food was mostly very good (enchiladas and a burrito), or pretty good (chips and salsa). I would have loved fresh salsa, but it was not a deal breaker. We enjoyed the atmosphere, casual but with character. Super friendly service, too. Also very reasonable... More

This is in our neighborhood. We love their food, and they have a great bar which makes virgin drinks. You got to try the brunch!

On a rainy day recently, at lunch time, Mission Cantina was full of life and absolutely delicious food. The food, service, decor, and atmosphere were outstanding and really brightened an otherwise gloomy day--just the upbeat kind of place to raise anyone's spirits.

A buddy of mine introduced me to this place. I love good Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint. We both ordered the taco plate, which allows you to choose 3 tacos and your choice of beef, caritas, fish, veggie etc. The fish tacos were outstanding! The tacos are smaller than the tacos you would get else where, but everything... More

This restaurant is hands down the best in Amherst, but it will leave you waiting. The lines are long and it's usually packed every single night of the week, which does say a lot about the food. A must dine if you have time.

I come here once a month, and it is hands down the tastiest mexican-american food I've ever had! I was raised in Central America, and can attest that their beans taste just like home-made beans! Their loaded nachos are a must! I love their taco plate (carnitas and fish are my favorite), and my husband always gets the burrito ahogado.... More

My original review, 'quality not quantity should be the watchword' still stands. Since I reviewed this place in 2012, there have been some changes. They managed to expand to next door to get more space (much needed), but the line to get in is even longer. One hour wait times are the norm here now. Even late diners should be... More

Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop at Mission Cantina - I can be somewhat of a Tex/Mex food snob, and the food here always delivers. Freshest best prepared Mexican this side of the Rio Grande, and the Margaritas never disappoint. While on the topic of worth the wait, it is not just about seating,... More
