Nothing to exciting, but fine for the staples such as a pu pu platter and fried rice and some more traditional options. The decor is old school chinese too, the drinks are good! Just ok

Yes, a lot of this food is like classic 1950s Chinese food. Between lots of deep frying, heavy sauces, and goopiness, this is all very retro. But...the scallion pancakes are the very best around, and the egg rolls are also amazing. So if you are looking for authenti, light and fresh--forget it. But if you want to harken back to... More

Relatively inexpensive food. You get what you pay for, definitely not amazing. Bar is open late at night.

Your typical American Chinese restaurant. Old decor. Drinks are good and prices reasonable. Bar staff friendly.

My husband's family has been frequenting this restaurant for years. He and I were in the area for a few hours and he took me to Makaha for dinner. We ordered three appetizers (chicken nuggets, french fries and pork strips) and one entree meal for the two of us. Our thought was that the appetizers would be small. We absolutely... More

The restaurant is circa 1970's. Service wasn't great, but the food was decent....a little greasy. One of the dishes I ordered was subgum chow mein, which is very hard to find in Chinese restaurants today..I love that dish if it is made properly...and this was! Made my day!!

We walked into a restaurant devoid of people, with the exception of two at the bar laughing with the bartender. The carpet was really dirty, and had wrinkles. The entryway was not clean and the overall building was not well maintained. There was no one to great us, so we walked out. No, we didn't eat there, but given the... More

Food is fantastic. Best shrimp fried rice I've ever had. I judge all American Chinese food based on the food from this restaurant. The staff is excellent, Raymond is an amazing host. Great bar as well. Long live the Makaha!

The restrooms are disgusting. Makes you wounder what the kitchen is like. Typical food you would expect from such a restaurant. The bar is a local hang out for the drunks.
