Best burger I've ever had. Hostess seating us was very helpful providing a table accommodating us between reservations. Server was very patient explaining menu choices and an excellent attitude. Highly recommended.

Superb food, service and atmosphere. What a special menu this is! We can’t wait to go back and try more items.
Quaint establishment serving American cuisine on the main drag in downtown Annapolis. After our tour of the near by naval academy, the Preserve was the lunchtime choice for our group. When we arrived, the restaurant was sill serving brunch. I chose the sausage , grits...and gravy as my entree. It was very good. Just the right amount of food. I also enjoyed my wife's preserve burger entree as a left over the next day. The burger was was very good as well. I had the local pilzner draft that was exceptional. The Peserve had a very good selection of adult beverages including local craft beers. I had the local pilzner draft that was exceptional. I definitely recommend the Preserve for any meal while visiting downtown Annapolis.More
We were very excited to join the many others who have enjoyed and raved about Preserve… and at the beginning our experience was off to a promising start. The more unique cocktail list delivered on taste and the service was friendly and attentive. We then...enjoyed the aggressive punch of garlic cream cheese from the smoked salmon appetizer. Would’ve loved to buy it and generously smear it over a slightly charred bagel. But sadly this is where the meal peaked. That friendly attentive service faded into us becoming an afterthought. That same afterthought you’d give the extended family who you obligatorily invited to your wedding, hoping they wouldn’t show. Questioning if we really belonged here. 20-30 minutes went by. We saw other guests who’d arrived after us received their dinners. Then with empty glasses our food finally arrived. Unfortunately absence did not make the stomach grow fonder. The $60 duck would’ve been underwhelming at half that price point. It was under-seasoned and slightly undercooked. The sad tortillas that accompanied the dish had that same afterthought feel we’d been experiencing. They were clearly cooked first and set aside because when they arrived they had hardened in their curved-shape from sitting in small cup. The bucatini pasta itself was delicious but the sauce it was swimming in had the same let down you’d expect from a healthier version of alfedo. At the end of our meal the only thing we got to Preserve was a sunken feeling of regret.More
Indulge ... Preserve is at the pinnacle of creative, guest-oriented, find dining in Annapolis. The food is locally sourced, the menu is ever-changing, and the ambiance is warm for couples and small groups. Get there early (5-5:30) to get on the list, before the evening...rush. The brain trust behind this Main Street staple are husband and wife CIA graduates, Jeremy & Michelle Hoffman. Beyond their culinary pedigrees, they excel at delivering a definitively different dining experience from anything in Annapolis, with their focus on the details. Indulge with cocktails (Tequila is literally "cool" and Bourbon is a light twist), starters (Crispy Kale, Pierogies), a sandwich (Bison Bhan Mi) and the entree of your choice (all excellent) ... then, just enjoy! If you miss this restaurant, you're "Streets Behind". Do let me know you liked it, by liking this post :-)More
Shockingly salty, very slow, waitress rude. If anybody leaves a meal wouldn’t you ask if there is a problem? Shame so disappointed, waitresses could be friendlier.
Six of us ended up eating at the bar on a busy Saturday evening. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we liked the food. The one thing that bothered us was the music. This restaurant is tiny and soft, smoothing music would be...have been much better. The people behind the bar were friendly and efficient. We marveled at all the people working in an very tight open kitchen.More
Sadly, this was a big miss for me and my family. We had such high hopes. The menu looks fun and the location cant be beat. Staff are extremely friendly but the food is not my favorite. Everything tastes just a bit off. Bizarre flavors.
We chose to stop at Preserve out of the blue for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our meals--a burger, fish and chips, and lamb gyro--were delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. The employees were friendly and hardworking. It was a very pleasant experience and...I'd highly recommend to anyone.More
We enjoyed this experience although very different from the average annapolis eatery. Our vegans were happy with pickles, kale. veggie burger. Chicken fried pork was ok, burger was very good . Fries were excellent
We were a group of 6 people and Nick made us feel comfortable and welcome while he organized a table for us. The food was incredible - especially the Kale appetizer and the Cheese Steak Sandwich, but all food was great! Nick had a way...to make us feel very special and his recommendations were wonderful.More
The food was delicious. And I respect a restaurant that offers true craft cocktails. The staff was attentive and warm. We actually met the owner who is delightful. We were in Annapolis for 3 days and ate here twice. The menu has many options, and...everything is made with care, the presentation is a creation. We tried appetizers, salad, sandwiches, dessert and cocktails. The food is gourmet, expect to be impressed.More
Food was incredible and the owner, Manager and bartender were all so super wonderful. The presentation of the food was impeccable and the flavors were fabulously paired with each other.
If I lived in Annapolis this place would be my hangout every day. The food was good, the beer was better but the owner and her husband were absolutely awesome. They provided great friendly conversation and provided a list of must see locations within the...City.More
We just loved the eclectic menu items. Lots of options and their ingredients are locally sourced. The atmosphere was great and we were quickly seated by a very friendly hostess. We started with the preserve pickles and house giardiniera and the crispy kale. Both were...very good but the kale was amazing and ended up being our absolute favorite item we had. We had high hopes at that point because of how excellent it was. Unfortunately, our main dishes didn’t compare. We had the steak frites which was missing the creamed spinach and they subbed veggies for the potatoes for me upon request. Thank you! When I asked about the missing creamed spinach my server brought me an ice cold tiny container of a green paste. It looked and tasted like baby food. Not what I envisioned at all. The steak was cooked more done than I’m used to seeing served this way and for $35 I expected either a larger side or a larger steak portion. It was tender and flavorful though but definitely overpriced. We also had the BLT on a lettuce wrap instead of bread. We didn’t know it came with fries or we would have asked for a substitute as well. The fries were overly salty and not edible. The BLT itself was flavorful but just not plentiful. Their coffee was delicious (Rise up) in a french press. A nice touch. They were serving coke in bottles but no diet drinks are available unfortunately. The Southside Sour on tap was delicious! Our server was attentive just not all that friendly/outgoing. She assumed we were finished our visit and brought our check without even asking if we wanted anything else. We may have wanted to try the Tandycake dessert but I guess it just wasn’t in the cards today. Oh well. If I had to do our visit over again I would have stuck with appetizers and just skipped the mains and maybe splurged on dessert. This may have just been a one and done visit.More
