My husband and I usually go to another restaurant when we are in Annapolis. We were driving and happened to pass Boatyard and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. We split the crab cake dinner. Delicious crab cakes! And if the smoked crab dip is still on the menu- you just try it.

We ate lunch at the Boatyard after reading of their famous "No filler, all killer" crab cakes. They exceeded our imaginations! I ordered some Chincoteague oysters to start, followed by a soft shell crab sandwich. My wife had the crab cake sandwich. Everything was great, but we thought enough of the crab cakes to find the details of ordering them... More

We went here for lunch on Sunday- it was full but not crowded. The service was extremely fast and courteous. We had a few oysters which were very good, and I had the crab cake sandwich which was hands down the best I've ever had! I am debating having some sent here it was so good. They had a highchair... Ate at Boatyard last night. Ordered mussels. Portion was small plus mussels were tiny. Had only one large one. The broth was tasteless. I asked for bread and to my surprise I was charged for it -waiter didn't mention there was a charge. 4 small slices that looked like it was frozen and then heated-why bother... partner ordered fish and... My fiancé and I went here twice during a recent trip to Annapolis. The crab cake was delicious, as were the Patty Fattys. We wanted to love the lobster roll, but the mayo-based concoction is made ahead of time and mixed with the lobster. (We prefer butter to mayo … and not too processed.) The service wasn't the best. And... More

The place has really good food, very casual atmosphere. Our server was young and inexperienced spent too much time talking not enough attention. The crab cakes are excellent and so was the swordfish.

Came to the Boatyard on this evening to celebrate my Moms 86th BDay ! It was perfect. We were 13 adults and 5 children(under 5 years old). Our drinks came out immediately and orders taken right behind the drinks. Perfect amount of time to converse and out came our delicious food! what a great night at the Boatyard!

We went here thanks to the reviews on TripAdvisor. It did not live up to it's rating from an European perspective. The relaxed American way of working might not be fully understood by us. We were met by three girls dressed in blue at entrance with their hands as deep as possible in their pockets and chewing their gums. They... More

We came to Annapolis to spend a week at the boat show and to attend Cruisers University. We sampled several restaurants in the area during our week long stay. We attended the boatyard at 5:30 pm on a Thursday night 10/13/2016. First the good: server was helpful, recommended the crab cake as a starter. It was excellent as was the... More

The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
