I am a crab dip fiend. The boatyard has the best. Hands down. I have probably tried crab dip at more than 50 restaurants from as far south as Alexandria VA to Baltimore. And the boatyard is still the most tasty. The rest of their food is just as delicious - flounder, crab cakes, oysters. They have it all and... More

This looks a little like a "hole-in-the-wall{" from the outside, but inside it is actually very nice with a nautical decor (but beware, if crowded it can get a little noisy for conversation). It is located a short walk across the bridge from the many restaurants on the harbor and near the capitol, but it is worth the walk. The... More

A trip to Annapolis and a neighbor's kind gift certificate brought us to the Boatyard. Being from Baltimore I am generally unimpressed when restaurants say they have the best crab cakes. However, they do. Boatyard's crab cakes were all crab with flavor! Delish. The flounder BLT was also good but very fried. My husband's meatloaf sandwich was a winner and... More

Wow. Crab cake was delicious. No fillers. This is not a place for a quiet conversation, but it is a great place for food! Service was very prompt and friendly.

We had the fish and chips and crab cake dinner. Both were so good. The food was exactly as described. So glad we went there.

Have visited many times. Completely packed on a Tuesday. Great local Annapolis hangout. Fish & chips are a must.

Lots of good restaurants in Eastport but this one has a locals flavor with strong ties to the local sailing community. Great place to meet up with friends.

This is a very casual restaurant located in Eastport. The crab cakes r really good no filler. The rockfish was good also. Very noisy, hard to talk to your dinner companion. Other than that, it was very good

Description
The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
