The Boatyard Bar and Grill is the perfect spot for a tasty and light luncheon. I especially enjoy their salads that range in price between $11 and $16. My favorite is the Cuban shrimp salad with avocado slices, salsa and a delicious lemon dressing. This...More

Stopped here for crab cake sandwiches on our way out of town. By far, the VERY BEST crab cakes we have ever had. You don't want to miss. Amazing! Can't wait to go back! The restaurant is very cool as well.

I stopped into the Boatyard on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was still pretty empty. The good news is the crab and artichoke appetizer we ordered was outstanding and served piping hot. The ok news, is that our waitress was either busy doing another task,...More

The story of Boatyard, I'm sure, already has been related here. (There once was lovely and sort of decrepit bar in Eastport named Marmaduke's. People who sailed and/or tended to boats hung out there. It closed. Dick Franyo, realizing the need for a replacement, opened...More

We have been to Boatyard numerous times. This visit was on a Monday night and I didn't think it would be crowded...wrong! After all, it is summer in Annapolis. Everything is crowded regardless of the day of the week. Everyone ordered the crab cake special...More

Description
The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
