We had a great lunch experience at Galway Bay so we returned for dinner. Drew, our server at lunch, definitely added to our lunch experience. He got our food and drinks efficiently and still took time to chat and make recommendations. Guinness and curry chips...were the lunch highlights. Drew recommended the Guinness chocolate cake with eggnog ice cream. The Guinness flavor complemented the chocolate and ice cream. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, served with crunchy bread when we returned for dinner. The fish in beer batter was flaky and delicious and the Half and Half was an Irish twist on Grilled cheese with tomato soup. The tiny pieces of tomato and a hint of Irish whisky enhanced the soup and the mixture of Irish and other cheeses was exceptional in the sandwich. We went here later at night for drinks. A fun, authentic Irish pub atmosphere. The Irish coffee is fabulous. Many other good beer and beverage choices. We had good seats at the bar.

Dined for two. Had a range of appetisers and mains, followed by dessert. Awesome. Picture perfect as the corned beef with mashed potatoes and cabbage is exactly like the photo. Also had cabbage rolls, curried chips, peas, fish and chips, and bread and butter pudding....Washed down with a whiskey flight and Irish coffees. Our server Drew looked after us perfectly as well. It was a lunchtime visit for us. Had the fish and chips - incredibly fresh fish, light and airy. The service was outstanding as well.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Annapolis. The Wexford Potato cakes are my favorite appetizer. You can’t go wrong with their fish and chips. The fish are pipping hot and the batter is crispy and crunchy. My go-to sandwich was the Pub Turkey...Bacon Club, but I don’t believe it’s on the menu anymore. If you like soup, their Irish Whisky and Tomato is delicious. They offer small plates, salads, a variety of sandwiches, burgers, and the typical Irish faire. The service has been great whenever we’ve stopped in. Just a tip: all to-go orders have to be placed and paid for online. Parking on the street can be a bit tight, but it’s worth the hassle!More

The shepherds pie was just perfect! If you think you have had good shepherds pie, you have to come here and try theirs. It felt like we were transported to Ireland. The service was also very good. We also ordered the corn beef hash and...it was great.More

We love Galway Bay. It is a great Irish pub near the capital. The selections for beer and food are wonderful. Man do the people at Galway Bay know how to throw one heck of a party! My husband I rented out the back room for a post wedding party and it was amazing. We had a buffet of sliders, chicken tenders, spinach dip and corned...beef flatbread. Everything was delicious and the servers and managers were so great to work with. My husband and I dined here during Maryland restaurant week to support a Maryland restaurant. We did not order off the Maryland week lunch menu. I, instead, had the liver and onions while my husband had the shepherds pie. We shared the chocolate mouse for...dessert. The food tasted just okay. Their menu had many of the delightful Irish options that you find at any Irish restaurants. They played Irish music in the background. Service was slow and the waiter was not the most attentive.More

Came to this restaurant several years ago while visiting The Naval Academy. Ended up having the shepherd’s pie for dinner one night. Came back the next day and had the shepherd’s pie again for lunch. During this last visit, Galway Bay was the first restaurant...we had to visit. Let me tell you that somehow by someway the food was even better. The host gave us a warm welcome and took us to a wonderful table. Our waitress never let our glasses get half empty and she constantly checked on us. Everyone continued to talk about how good the food was and I tell you we cleaned our plates. Wonderful atmosphere, great people, great food, reasonable price. What more could one ask for?More
