I guess most of the bars in Annapolis Waterfront could be historic. Beside the Naval Academy and on a side street adjoining the fish market. It was touristy trip to Annapolis Waterfront. We already had dinner, so my friend chose this place as it had an over 30's crowd and they had a Piano bar. The band was wonderful, specially... More

It's cool that Thomas Jefferson and his cronies hung out here, but it's a tourist trap with an odd layout and cold vibe. Food was super pricey and just okay. Plus downtown parking costs you.

My friend and I visited Annapolis and were looking to find a place that served steaks. We stopped in here on a Saturday night. There was no wait and we were seated outside with a nice view of the area. The menu offered a rib-eye, a filet and a NY strip. We both opted for the strip. The waiter took... More

We drove from Arlington, VA to specifically visit this place. The drive was easy and the visit was worth it. It gave us a great excuse to also check out Annapolis too. Food and service were good. It is cool to say you are eating in a building older than the flunding of the USA. After you eat take a... More

Tried this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. Seemed like one of the best alternatives to most of the Pub type fare that surrounded the waterfront, offering a good choice of seafood as well as other great sounding entrees. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery and some Tavern drink specials. While the food was above average for... More

Had crab cake sandwich with fries. Crab cake had lots of lump crab on a soft sesame seed bun. Fries were like a rustic steak fry almost. Well worth $16 or so that it was. Also had the lump crab Napolean. Layer of crisp lavash cracker covered in lump crab then another layer of crisp lavash covered with sliced avocado,... More

I love Middletons for the piano bar in the evenings... it was only recently I enjoyed a meal there. I was with a large group for a lunch during our wedding weekend. The history, location and charm gives it an inherent goodness. Crabcakes were nice! We sat upstairs and had privacy. Perfect for our big party! This is one of... More

The food is average but the drinks are great! You can sit outside and people watch but the tables are small

Very touristy spot. Food is just ok & you can sit outside during the warmer months. People love the oyster shooters & the piano bar on the weekend. Probably a better bar stop than food stop.

It's nice to be considered "historic" but it's time for the Tavern to upgrade the room. The food is strictly average as the Tavern is a real tourist trap but the good side is the service was on the mark. We shared topnecks on the half shell which were good but way overpriced. My stuffed flounder had a good helping... More
