We have eaten at Normandie several times. The atmosphere is old and tired, but the food is generally very good. Service is slow. Our last visit we impressed upon the server that I am deathly allergic to mushrooms and soy. He promised he would tell the chef and nothing would be served that would stop my breathing. Entree of quail... More

Cafe Normandie has really good French style food and a romantic atmosphere to boot. We have eaten here many times and have enjoyed everything we have ordered. The escargot are particularly good as is the French onion soup. My favorite entree is the small hen served with potatoes and vegetables. The pate is a chunky country style pate which is... More

I really wanted to like this place, however it just didn't live up to expectations. It is expensive for what it is and you are shoulder to shoulder with other customers in some areas of the restaurant. Waiter admitted to us that it was "all hispanics" in the kitchen once we asked about the French chef in the back.

Just back from Normandie and what a pleasant surprise to find this noteworthy establishment in Annapolis! Great French food and good wine at decent prices. We definitely recommend and will be back when we are in town.

Food was very good, but the service lacked a bit since it was late on a Saturday evening and we were among the last diners. On arrival we changed tables (our original table was just below a very powerful air vent, and frankly too cold); no problem getting another table, but apparently there was confusion as to which server would... Service was very good. Attentive. Food was good but not superb. Not worth the $30 for the crab cake dinner. 2 crab cakes, rice and green beans. Tasty but again not fantastic. No lump crab in the crab cakes at all. Shrimp Provençal app was tasty but not worth $12 or so. 5 shrimp served hot with a tomato garlic.... More

We went for lunch and had onion soup, caesar salad and a sandwich. We waited for a long time before we were served and longer to get the food. The food and wine were good and the people were pleasant. The place is cozy and well decorated, but we don't want to spend over an hour for lunch.

We recently had a delicious and wonderful meal. We felt like we were back in France. Reasonable price for portions and presentation. Wine recommendation tight on. If you like French authenticity, you must go!

My wife and myself stopped here for dinner at my birthday. The dinner was good and price was fair, given the location (Annapolis!). There were traces of France here, mostly music. A good place to eat.

We went with a group of 11 (including several kids) and got the prix fix, which is available before 6:30. It ws delicious and included some of the better menu items....not just the low cost fare. Service was excellent and not rushed. We were seated upstairs and could actually hear one another from one end of the table to the... More
