We'd been there before about 3 years ago to a function with a lot of people and we remembered how nicely done the food was. But recently we decided to drop in for lunch, and wow are we ever glad we did!!! My husband and I both had the Cuban style rum pork, served with rice, black beans, and salsa.... More

I worked in Annapolis years ago and loved to go to Chevy's. So when we were down in Annapolis for a morning of boating I had planned to take the family to Chevy's. On a recommendation we tried Paladar instead. As much as I liked Chevy's in the past, Paladar blows it away. We had brunch fare: Huevos Rancheros, Shrimp... More

I was here for a lunch, and it was perfect weather to eat at the outdoor patio. I've been here before (as well as the one in Rockville) and enjoy the "rum flights" (sampler of three 2-ounce rum shots, from a selection of more than 20). El Dorado is my favorite, by far. Also had a delicious black bean soup... More

Met a friend for brunch on an extremely hot Saturday and didn’t need our 11:00am reservation, because the place was practically empty. My friend enjoyed the huevos rancheros and I noshed on the spinach hearts of palm salad. She said her dish was good and it looked yummy. I ordered a half portion of the salad and it was plenty... We gave an earlier rave review for Paladar some years ago, but our most recent visit went well past disappointing to horrifying. Chips were stale, the helping of guacamole was miniscule and tasteless, the chicken tortilla soup tasted like it had been made with ketchup, the tuna tacos--which our waitress recommended--had very little tuna. The calamari was limp and cold.... More

My fave dish is the Braised Beef Ropa Vieha. It is so yummy. The food is delish, the atmosphere is fun and the service is great. I love to go here for special occasions and to take out of town guests.

A large group I was meeting with decided to do our monthly meeting at Paladar. Reservations were made, we arrived, were seated, ordered, and then flagged someone down because it was not getting any cooler. The restaurant did not inform us that the HVAC had been down for over 24 hours. This would have been great to know before we... More

So we were sitting around trying to decide what to have for dinner that was relatively close to our hotel after a day of walking around downtown Annapolis. We didn't really want some major chain (so Cheesecake Factory was totally out) and we wanted something 'different'. Paladar stood out and I'm glad it did! Service was great, we were sat... More

We wanted to try the place just for a quick drink at happy hour. We winded up staying for much longer. The pomegrante-mojitos were delicious and the happy hour food prices were great. I had the cuban sandwich which was tasty and the yucca fries were delicious. We had very good, friendly service.

All the food was excellent. Started with a rum flight, calamari and pork tostones. Both fantastic. Main courses were rum glazed Cuban pork and 21 day skirt steak. Again, both great. So much food have to take some home. Atmosphere is cool and our server, Desiree, was very friendly and made great recommendations. Will be sure to come back again.
