Description: Was formerly the Bond Brook Pancake House, Mt Vernon Ave, Augusta, ME....
Was formerly the Bond Brook Pancake House, Mt Vernon Ave, Augusta, ME. Owners had an opportunity to move into a restored, historic building in the heart of the downtown business district. Even managed to preserve a stained-glass storefront-wide window advertising a shoe store which occupied the site in the original building. Specializes in breakfast and lunch, opening at 5:30 or 6:00 most mornings and closing at 2:00. Numerous breakfast combination plates available whenever they're open. Soup-and-sandwich specials daily featuring their home-made soups and chowders. Simple, straight-forward seating, reasonablle prices, and a staff that can be as fun or formal as you like. Real favorite with "the locals", the local electric and telephone line crews, and downtown office workers. Would suggest Trip Advisor discontinue Bond Brook Pancake House listing -- business no longer exists and rental property where they used to be is now vacant.

Best breakfast in the Augusta area. Everything is excellent but don't forget to get a side of beans with your breakfast. They are wonderful,

We went for breakfast before a meeting. It's a small place, but welcoming. Wish it was bigger! The food was great and priced as the area restaurants. Service was friendly. Easy to find.

This is a great pace to grab breakfast or lunch. It is always busy but the service is fast so wait times are short. The people running this diner are friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

Four of us visited midweek for lunch at noon. At 11:45am the place was about 1/4 filled. At 12 noon the place was jammed. All four of us ordered something different and all of us enjoyed our food. I ordered the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and cup of chowder. The bread was homemade rye - thick cut. Delicious! The others... More

Not your typical reuben and definitely not your typical blueberry waffle! Coffee was extremely weak. The server was friendly. Free parking in front of the building.

Nothing fancy, nothing special, but nonetheless a keeper because the food is as expected at a diner, and the service is charming, friendly, and competent. We had the BLT and chicken caesar wraps, each of which contained fresh, well cooked ingredients on a tomato wrap. The tomatoes and lettuce were crisp. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The mayo was not... More

Have eaten there quite a few times for breakfast with relatives. Wait staff always pleasant and efficient. Quick turnaround from order to receipt of our meals (6 in the group). Very reasonably priced. A quaint place with no pressure. Will be back again soon.
