Comfortable, clean and a staff with personality. An enjoyable experience with great food. I would highly recommend.

This is a small diner with friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices. I have never had anything that wasn't exactly as I had hoped. Yum!

Breakfast is their specialty. They have great food.,good portions ,and some home baked items . Great owners who work at the diner and a v.ery friendly and experienced staff.lunch is good but breakfast is what they do best. Only downside is the location. Downtown Augusta does not have much to offer. Upside is you can park on the street because... More

We just moved to Augusta area and was looking for family type diner for breakfast instead of the chain restaurants. We were very impressed. Staff was more then friendly and service was above average. Food was very good. This place is a little small seating approximately 30 people and would not be good for a large group. Perfect for 4... More

Reasonably priced breakfast with huge portions. The cinnamon roll is home made and delicious. Staff is attentive and friendly. We were able to park on the street in front of the restaurant. It is a bit noisy, but that adds to the diner feel.

We came for both breakfast and lunch. Right off we were greeted at the door, and despite being 20 minutes from closing they not only sat us, but did not rush us at all. The food at breakfast was diner fare from this decade -- a really well put together breakfast burrito with the crunch of peppers, the pull of... More

Downtown Diner is a friendly, welcoming environment where many locals go for home-cooked good food at a reasonable price. The service is prompt, attentive, and unflaggingly good-natured. Regulars and strangers are greeted warmly, and there is never a sense of rush. The menu is on the basic side with familiar favorites more than exotic plates for the adventurous gourmand. In... More

Great, fresh food, friendly, fast service. Where the locals eat. Easy parking (easiest to park behind the restaurant and walk in the back door). We had the eggs Benedict and omelette. Everything was yummy and the toast (raisin) was thick and freshly sliced. Enjoy!

We were on a family vacation in nearby Vassalboro and we stopped in the Downtown Diner for breakfast on Thursday. We were surprised and delighted by the building, view, service and food. Building and view: This is a very old building, beautifully restored, with wonderful hardwood floors, crown molding, extremely high ceilings, and the front of the building is all... More

Stopped here 2 years in a row on our way from Boston to Bar Harbor, Maine for breakfast and a good stretch. Great food, friendly service and polite locals here. A couple miles off the highway but easy enough to find and worth the couple minutes of driving off of the highway. Super clean and open kitchen. Everything is cooked... More

Was formerly the Bond Brook Pancake House, Mt Vernon Ave, Augusta, ME. Owners had an opportunity to move into a restored, historic building in the heart of the downtown business district. Even managed to preserve a stained-glass storefront-wide window advertising a shoe store which occupied the site in the original building. Specializes in breakfast and lunch, opening at 5:30 or 6:00 most mornings and closing at 2:00. Numerous breakfast combination plates available whenever they're open. Soup-and-sandwich specials daily featuring their home-made soups and chowders. Simple, straight-forward seating, reasonablle prices, and a staff that can be as fun or formal as you like. Real favorite with "the locals", the local electric and telephone line crews, and downtown office workers. Would suggest Trip Advisor discontinue Bond Brook Pancake House listing -- business no longer exists and rental property where they used to be is now vacant.
