I enjoyed this place so much that I ate here 2x’s in a week! The daily drink specials are great! The taste & presentation of food is spot on! The back porch is such a delight! Highly recommend this one! Next trip....the weekend Brunch!

I saw this place on the news and decided to drive over and try it out. We were quickly seated and taken care of by Kristi. She gave us time to go over the menu and was very attentive. The food was out before I...finished my salad. No worries, I was hungry. The Cajun Kevin po-boy lived up to the hype and although the triple berry cake was moist and good I'm not sure about $8 a slice. Other than that I think it was worth the trip. I would've rated excellent but the parking is a chore.More

Simply the worst restaurant experience ever. 6 pm reservation. Ordered drinks, no coke or dr pepper available.Had to wait 35 minutes for drinks to be served. Appetizers came, Charbrolied oysters smelled strange and did not look like it was broiled on the shell, no butter...and was smothered in cheese that was not melted. Barely warm. Next came the main course, at nearly 7:30. Plates of food were cold. Amazing after waiting an hour and a half getting a plate of cold food. Needless to say never put a single bite in my mouth. Only salvation was they cleared the check which I was not about to pay. Thoroughly disgusting and will never return.More

Very disappointed. kept hearing how good it was so drove a little over an hour. The food delivery was slow, ordered barbecue shrimp as appertizer, took about and hour to get it, then they were very hard , overcooked and tasted like they were boiled...just in hot water no seasoning. The meal itself was ok but nothing to brag about. Everything was bland.More

We drove 3 hours because the pictures were breathtaking. We arrived and it was nothing like any of the pictures. The service was so-so. Everyone was nice and not rude. But nothing spectacular. Food arrived. No drinks were ever delivered. No silverware. Food in my...hair. Husbands food was a joke compared to the marketing pictures of the item he ordered. Chicken was not crunchy and mediocre. My food was delivered for a second time-sans hair. It was cold and drenched in whatever sauce they dumped on top. Won’t be back. Total was of time.More

If I go back here (about an hours drive from B.R.), I will not do the brunch. We were the first ones there this morning - parking is ridiculous, by the way - we were seated, took a while before anyone came to take our...drink order. Went to the buffet - the eggs were cold, (even though we were the first ones there), the grits were like water - could drink them through a straw - the gravy was not like any white gravy I have ever had or made - it had a funny taste, bacon was good, biscuits were ok, pork roast was good but dry, french toast was good, tried a piece of boudin and a piece of cracklin - they were ok. Did not try the other pork dishes or the gumbo - I was there for breakfast. Perhaps items from the menu are great, but don['t know if I would go back to try anything else. People were great, tho - very friendly but slow at times.More

Welllllll daughter got honor roll. Drove 20 minutes to get there. Promised a fun meal for honor roll. Arrived around 7:00pm Restaurant was not even half full . But daughter and I were seated in worst spot. The area: the kitchen door opening. Waitress was...prompt. But the buffet’s temperature was warm. The gumbo was good. The other food including roast beef was good just not hot 🥵 enough. But the thing that realllllllllllly got me was when the waitress asked my daughter how old she was to determine whether she qualified for discount. I didn’t know a discount existed. Not cool 😎 Bill was $43.00 left a & 10.00 tip because we sat at the table and she brought us water and tea. Will go back for another try. I had been there four or five times before. Had been before for a fund raiser at $100 a ticket food was superb so I was expecting more. But I’ll go early in the evening to get hot food if I go back it’s a great little place great views and good decor. But was not a good experience that nite.More

After visiting in July and enjoying an absolutely amazing buffet, my husband and I were so looking forward to a return visit. After a 5 hour drive, we were sorely disappointed. The gumbo was greasy and almost tasteless, catfish was overcooked and way too salty,...along with the more heavily breaded shrimp. Most of the food was just warm instead of hot. The boiled shrimp, which was heavenly our last visit, tasted the same but was overcooked, stringy and rubbery. Seriously disappointed.More
