The food is delicious. Service is impeccable. It has a very small town feel and the patrons do stare like they’ve never seen a black person but the staff is welcoming and it has great prices.

Recommend the roast beef poboy as best in the area. Also make a great toasted muffaletta - can get with extra meat/cheese/olive salad. Daily lunch specials.

Our bicycle tour guide brought us here for lunch and we were so glad that he did. This place is a local institution and we would have never found it on our own. We felt very lucky to have been able to experience it. The...whole experience was very authentic. We had our lunch among construction workers, elderly locals who seemed to meet there every day for lunch and local business people. We all had po' boys. Daughter and I both ordered the shrimp and the guide had the beef. The sandwiches are large. When we sat down the guide offered to share his beef half and half with my shrimp. I took him up on the offer and boy was I glad I did. He knew what he was doing! My shrimp was good (with some hot sauce sprinkled on) but his beef was really good!More

Great local landmark with huge chips and soda selection. True mom-and-pop shop that is bustling and full of Louisiana natives but friendly to others. The shrimp po'boy was tasty-- chewy bread, hot and fresh shrimp, crisp pickles. Fantastic establishment for a hearty lunch and a...dip into the community here.More

Most folks from the area know about the Arabi store. In case you are just passing through it's a good one to know about. Incredibly fresh shrimp and one of the best roast beef po'boys around. They open for breakfast and make several early morning...staples which many folks pick up on their way to work. All of their sandwiches are satisfying and generous. They also deliver some of the best french fries anywhere. Great crew and yes, they have beer.More

We stopped here for breakfast this morning before a road trip. Our food came quickly, tasted great, and kept us full for hours! I especially loved the biscuit that came with my meal!

This is a food store with a cafe. Its about 20 minutes from the French Quarter and worth the drive. They have a very good muffaletta that rivals Central Grocery and is $4 cheaper. $15.99 for a whole. Central is now $19.95 for a whole....All of their food is reasonably priced and very tasty with ample portions. Give it a try!!More

Came here for dinner while visiting family in the area. Great local business with friendly folks. Had delicious combo of fried shrimp & catfish. The servings are HUGE. It is a little pricey, but so worth it. It's always good to support local businesses.
