I recently went back because I'd had a great meal (the ribeye) before. This time I was sorely disappointed- perhaps because I'd brought a friend with me, I noticed things that I had not previously taken note of. Service was particularly slow- took a long time for the waitress to get our drink orders and meal orders. Drink glasses ran... More

This was a new experience for me and it was great. The restaurant was decorated very fun. The food was outstanding. The owner came by the table to visit, he ask where I was from. He was very nice. I had the fried alligator for lunch, it was outstanding. It tasted close to crab or lobster, but much better!

On our way home from NOLA we trusted Trip Adviser to again lead us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. Be sure, if you are using GPS and taking I-49 North, to follow GPS instruction and take exit 86 to this restaurant. If you exit earlier, you will be subjected to lots of street construction on the drive to the... More

Cali took excellent care of us - great service. My fried shrimp was awesome, but my wife got fried oysters and one was uncooked. The Cajun rice was not very tasty. My wife had a salad and said the Ranch dressing was some of the best she's had. The hot bread - fried? was terrific! The seafood bisque was very... More

Food quality and value is poor. Owner and waitresses go way above normal service. 10/14 people in our party said they were disappointed in their meals. For the money, it was well below value. Decor and amenities were dated to early 90s.

Stopped here with our family on a long road trip. It was just what we needed! Cute 4th of July/Patriotic/Mardi Gras decorations adorn every inch of space. Our girls loved the ceramic kitty cat figurines that were throughout the bathroom. Had the Crawfish Étouffée and Seafood Fettuccini. Huge portion on the Fettuccini with ample seafood mixed throughout. Both were delicious.... More

I stopped here for dinner during a 1-night stay in Alexandria at the end of a long road trip. I was made welcome from the moment arrived. My server (Cameron?) did a great job and kept me entertained. I ordered the stuffed snapper--delicious. Bread pudding was to die for!! Only think I'd change is the vinaigrette dressing which didn't have... More

I don't know where to start... From the home felt welcome at the entrance, to being greeted at our table I was pleased from the beginning. The atmosphere was pleasant, fresh, and provided and nice Louisiana feel. Service was prompt, accurate, and accommodating. Our waitress, Kristian went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied and made an awesome... More

Stopped to have lunch on way to Baton Rouge, and it was great. Service was so friendly and efficient. The seafood was wonderful, and the rolls they serve are like nothing I have had before. The owner was there and we talked to her about the recipe for bisque that you can purchase and the money goes to help rescue... More
