I hate to say it but we came to Casa Sucre for coffee and tea because of the reviews but were very much disappointed. We ordered a tea with milk on the side and coffee with milk. The tea arrived and 15 minutes later still no coffee. We had to go back up to the counter and let them know... More

It's easy to order a delicious coffee, fresh pastry, sweet fruit platter, or savory egg breakfast, but don't forget to try a tamal! The tamals are in the showcase, wrapped in banana leaves and can easily be bypassed as you look at the desserts. You will not be disappointed by this belly-filling goodness, especially if you have ordered your favorite... More

We were recommended to visit here, and both mornings in Casco Viejo we had excellent coffee (with coffee art!) and pastry. The barrista was very pleasant, and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner the following day. We are from Seattle and enjoyed this small coffee house as much or more than those at home Highly recommend

We had coffee and a snack one late morning. The staff were- fun. They welcomed us and just had a pleasant attitude. The third time we were having breakfast before departing Panama. The service was not only good but the humor of the staff made it enjoyable. The location is very good being right on the corner. Sitting near the... More

We were taking a stroll through the old part of town (Casco Viejo) under the hot sun and felt the urge for a cold coffee drink. We stumbled across this nice cosy café. It's a really nice place with good ambient, excellent coffee (drinks) and great service. I would definitely recommend you to stop by, if you have the chance... More

Saved our lives - great coffee, great croissants, breakfast, etc. How was Casco Viejo so lucky to have this great coffeehouse open here? Starbucks could take a lesson from them. We were fortunate to meet the owners during a small earthquake and now we understand why the food is so great. Special people. They care about quality and their customers.... More

We stopped in for some coffees. Good cappuccino and the chocolate croissants were tasty. Nice eclectic and comfy decor too. My husband is a piano player and gets antsy if he hasn't played for a few days. They have a funky old piano in here, which worked out great for him. He played while we waited for our coffees.

No need to look any further than Casa Sucre! We started our exploration of Casco Viejo by stopping here for breakfast. I had the Desayuno Especial-bacon, egg, cheese, and onion quiche on a bagel. You would think that quiche is a strange addition, but it totally worked. I had the incredibly refreshing jugo fresca natural (natural fresh juice), which included... More
