We ate here while staying in Panama City and it was some of the best pizza I've ever had! The garlic bread and salads were also excellent! Highly recommend and fun to watch the pizzas go in the wood fire oven.
We had Pizza and Pasta, both were phantastic. Although located in an business area, the restaurant itself and the terrasse have been designed in a superb manner. The personnel is very friendly and attentive. Really recommendable.
I wouldn't have known that the restaurant existed if my teenage daughter, who attends school with the daughter of the owners--who she described as 'Italian Venezuelans'--hadn't insisted we go to Zi Maria one Sunday recently. And I am glad that we did. Esthetically, Zi Maria...is not much, two dining rooms with cafeteria style tables and chairs, but the food was another matter. I had a linguini with parmesan cheese--the cheese lifted out of a large cheese round--that was as good as any dish I had on my last trip to Rome. The dish was on the suggestions of the day that included a rabbit pasta dish. My daughter had lasagna that she said was "great," and I sampled my wife's ravioli, which was cooked perfectly 'al dente,' and delicious. The kitchen is visible from the first dining room and a nice touch. The restaurant is very homey, with a nice neighborhood atmosphere. Prices run $12 to $15 for most dishes, good value for what we got. The pizzas some others were eating looked good and well-cooked. We will be back at Zi Maria often.More
I went there with high expectations. It is ok but can’t say it was the highlight of our trip. Marinara pasta was good but did not have too many seafood friends. Four cheese penne was good. Carpaccio was ok. Cesar salad with shrimp was ok.
The pizza in this place was really good. We had the Zi Maria pizza and it really convinced us.
The service was also very friendly and attentive.
We also ordered a variety of different meats and those were not good. The quality of the meat...was mediocre and there was no sauce or anything coming with it.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is also not too cozy, but the Pizza was really great!More
Very small restaurant in a strip of small restaurants in s commercial area. Nice Italian menu, lovely salads and Panamian style corvina. Wheelchair acessible. Quiet even thought it is close to roadway. A few days later after first visit ordered pizza delivered. Delicious pizza and...speedy delivery. Will order again. Courteous and attentive wait staff.More
