The cafe/restaurant "nomada eatery" is located in the old town, near Plaza Centenario, a few meters from the presidential palace and the cathedral, Calle 9a Este.
The restaurant is a popular address for tourists and many locals alike because of its simple decor, very friendly service, low prices, the quality of the Central American dishes and its location in the old town center. At lunchtime on the day we visited, the restaurant was full.
The pumpkin cream soup, the fish taco with fish fillet, red cabbage, bananas, rice and the typical "chipotle sauce" (smoked chili), an iced coffee, an Abuelo 7 years, an espresso all cost 24 US $ - a cheap meal in Panama City!
The ambience is reminiscent of an artist's studio, the toilet filled with books is reminiscent of a library! No frills, no white tablecloth, no tulip glasses for the wine - simply good, delicious quality, hospitable service! We'd be happy to go again.

Wow, this place was a hidden gem for us looking for a quick local lunch. We happened upon the lunch special for $7.50 chicken and rice with plantains and lentil soup starter even came with the most delicious homemade lemonade with lemon. So refreshing and everything was delicious.
Thank you Kemberlin for fantastic service. Highly recommend!

I've always come here for their amqzing Buddah Bowls but today I decided to try their breakfast. Nothing really resonated with me despite a variety of options to please all tastes, well, except mine apparently! I saw the ingredients of what I wanted could be purchased separately so I asked Gabriel my server if I could request avocado toast with poached eggs. No problem! I must say, I was impressed by the willingness to do so but the presentation was amazing and the flavor was even better! By far one of the best, especially since it wasnt served on a "brick" identified as sourdough. The coffee, food, hospitality and Gabriel's smile were 10/10 and I highly recommend stopping by the next time you find yourself in Casco.

The menu is diverse. You can have breakfast till Noon (I think they should offer it all day) and then a great lunch and dinner menu. They serve food until 11:30 pm! The coffee is fantastic and they offer alternatives to milk for people like me who want almond or oat milk with my cappuccino. Danna gave me great service and was very attentive to everything. I would recommend this place to anyone, a must stop in your travels to Casco Viejo and the old city of Panama. My only recommendation is the offer a limited breakfast 24/7! I can see why people love this cafe.

Lovely breakfast. My husband had the Panamanian which was lovely. The sausage stew was very tasty. Had with the puff pastry which was nice too. I had the tortilla with egg, refried beans, salsa which was also very nice. The kids weren’t so keen on the pancakes. I think they used wholemeal flour and had cinnamon. Maybe more adult taste as I thought they were really nice. Wasn’t keen on the yogurt. Too sweet and tasted of fake vanilla. My other son had the egg, mozzarella, bacon dish. He wasn’t keen on the mozzarella it was American style grated not Italian. The iced coffee was nice but could have been stronger. But generally I thought the place had a lovely vibe and good food.

So wanted good Panamanian coffee which for me is only Kotowa - lived in Boquete years ago so biased - and saw they serve Kotowa and do breakfast so this was our go to spot. So I decide to go for a Panamanian breakfast with extra egg and hojaldre [fried dough] and forgot how big the fried dough can be. Plus ordered a smoothie as well to start and was stuffed to the gills. The huevos rancheros were tasty as well but I was happy with my eggs and sausage stew. Order the geisha coffee once to try but then stick to the regular coffee - very yummy.

Service skills are non existent. Waited almost and hour for a salad and soup. Saw 4 tables that arrived after us get served. They apparently ran out of lettuce, which the skilled service people that they are, didn't tell us and give a chace to switch the dish. I was thinking to walk out just as they brought the food to go. Never paid so much for couple of dry pieces of chicked and lettuce. Value is pathetic, food is very average and service is well.. yeah laughable.
I've learned that if the service people in panama do not have foreign handlers, they are absolute garbage at their work.

Everyone is super friendly, especially Valesca. We had a really lovely chat with her and she was so nice and welcoming.
We can recommend this really nice restaurant also for people who are vegan or need to eat glutenfree. You will find a delicious meal for sure!

Visited once for breakfast wth friends upon arrival and once solo on my last day. The food is FANTASTIC & affordable. Had pancakes & bacon with awesome coffee one day, and the chicken tatziki wrap the other. The Lemonade coconut blend was delicious in the afternoon heat. Free wifi, clean bathrooms, & friendly staff. Takes CC & has drinks to go.

Nomada is a nice place, both to have a drink and to try its delicious food. The attention is incredible from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. Gabriel is always attentive and friendly, his team of people makes Nomada much more incredible.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat on a Sunday night. I'm not quite sure why this place has received so many positive reviews, but my husband and I thought the food was just average at best. The ceviche (made with the catch of the day) tasted ok, but it came with only 4 tortilla chips and had a very chewy texture. We ordered the classic burger and the philly cheese steak sandwich, but neither of them were anything special. Moreover, my burger came with only 5 or 6 SMALL wedge fries - like why even bother? On the positive side, they did have cold beer and happy hour drink specials.

This restaurant has the Panamanian version of many international breakfast dishes. It was very difficult to chose because everything looked delicious. It has this bohemian/eclectic/artsy decoration that adds to the eating experience. The only setback and recommendation will be the waiting time. We waited around 30 minutes. Once the dishes came we forgot the wait. The were all delicious. I will recommend eating here without hesitation.

Nomada Eatery has a chill, laid-back, hippie vibe. I'm surprised they don't have "All You Need is Love" playing on repeat.
The menu seems to be typical American fare: burgers, sandwiches, paninis, that kind of stuff.
I got the chicken burger with a side of potato wedges. I also got the mango smoothie. Everything was sooooooo delicious. The potato wedges could have been crispier though. It's on the mushy side. The Mango smoothie is divine, blended fresh! The chicken inside the sandwich is *Chef's kiss*. I didn't like the pickles, though, so I removed them.
Overall, I had a great experience. Oh, and some of the servers speak English! How great.

We chose this restaurant based on its proximity to our hotel, and we are SO glad we did! We’ve now eaten here for the last 2 days, hoping to catch breakfast one more time before our flight tomorrow. The restaurant itself has a very casual, eclectic vibe that sets the tone for your incredible food experience. The waitstaff could not be more friendly or helpful, and the food is outstanding! If we are ever back in Panama, we will definitely be eating at Nomada Eatery!
